I was actually the bus driver at the time and we did inform the front office of the schools we were picking up from. In fact we had a flyer with all of the school names on it. I also KNOW that the director would encourage anyone with problems to come in and discuss the situation. I have watched the after school and summer programs grow each year due to great service and word of mouth. If you don't believe it, come and check it out for yourself. We have nothing to hide and look forward to seeing you.

My daughter attended the summer program at this YMCA. It was okay to say the least. Once the summer ended, I registered my daughter for the after-school program since her elementary school was now on the list for pick up. I went in person to make sure that her school was still on the list. Everyone in the front office said, "Yes". Well, on the 1st day that my daughter was to be picked up, no one showed up to get her. Dismissal at her school is at 3:10pm. The school called me at 4:30pm to let me know that my daughter had not been picked up by the YMCA. The school also told me that another little girl had signed up for pick up at the same YMCA and that they would forget to pick her up or would not come at all. I felt awful. I immediately called the YMCA as I got in my car to head over to the school. The same front office person told me he did not know what I was talking about. He then put me on the phone with the Director. I explained what happened and he told me that my daughter's school was taken off of the list 2 weeks prior. Well, I was just at that location the day before. How come the front office and Director don't talk to each other about the list? Then, this Director said he would send somebody over right now to get my daughter. I told him not to bother, I was already on my way to pick her up myself. I asked for a refund and I wanted to go over in person. They did not want me to come over in person and wanted to handle everything over the phone. What idiots!! If you want horrible service, take your child to the YMCA located off Garland Road in Garland. I am outraged!!
