The Parks department does an excellent job maintaining all of the parks within Seattle. Some of my favorites are Greenlake, Alki Beach and Revenna Park and I'm able to enjoy them thanks to the great job the city does to keep them clean and safe. I would highly recommend utilizing the public parks in Seattle.

This is by far our favorite zoo. The animals habitats are excellent. It almost looks as though the animals are in their natural habitat. It's really well done. The elephant exibit is awesome. They had an incredible bird show that featured birds of prey. They had pony rides and a petting zoo. The whole place was entertaining and educational. Their admission price was reasonable.

The aviary is the best here, and very unique to this zoo. The lay-out is convenient and easy to walk. I would suggest you pack a lunch, however, as food choices are few and are very expensive to boot.

I've been going there since I was little and I still love it! It has changed of course, which is better for the animals, but sometimes worse for the customers. At times, in the savannah exhibits, it can be hard to find and see the animals. They do, however have a wide range of animals and the zoo is nicely laid out. A great place to take the kids!

I went to the zoo yesterday and I must say that I was quite impressed with the exhibits and things they had to offer. There are tons of exhibits and hands on type attractions. Most of the animals look healthy and this zoo seems to do a good job caring for them. This place was totally worth the money and I will be sure to come back!

The Woodland Park Zoo is a Seattle insitution, but it has gone through many changes through the years. The exhibits have become more natural like the African Savanna. Allow plenty of time to fully enjoy the zoo. The nocturnal house is a favorite for children and I always enjoy the gorilla exhibit and the tropical rainforest. There is quite a bit o walking involved to see the entire zoo, so a stroller is recommended for small children. On Saturdays there are pony rides for children.

The zoo is easily assessible by Metro buses from downtown.

PROS: Nocturnal house, tropical rainforest, gorillas
CONS: big cat cages can be depressing

There's a lot of exotic animals here. I liked the aviary the most, because I have never been that close to that many birds at once. My only complaint is that this is not a great place to be when it is raining, for obvious reasons. The babies kept my nephews entertained.

This is not the best zoo I've ever been to, but it's a very attractive zoo with a wide variety of animals from diverse habitats. It's great fun for kids and adults alike, and the food is decent, albeit a bit overpriced.

The terrain of the zoo is wooded and hilly, making for a nice walk in the park in addition to seeing the animals.

If you buy the Seattle City Pass, it includes admission the to zoo, effectively reducing the entry fee.

My entire family loves going here!. My kids get so excited to see the animals, and they have learned so much about the natural habitats of the animals because of the wonderful real life settings the zoo has the animals living in. . They have lots of different exhibits. They also have a bird show with various birds for kids to watch. It can definitely get expensive going here though, so i suggest packing a lunch since the food is very costly.

I've been coming to this zoo yearly for my entire life! It's changed a lot from when I was a kid. Very few animals still live in cages. Most are now in enclosures which give them lots of room to roam about and mimic the area of the world where they would be found. The zoo is divided up into regions of the world. Because the animals have such large areas to walk around, it is sometimes difficult to see them. We never have any luck with the lions but the giraffes, hippos, and elephants can always be counted on in the "safari" area. We enjoy watching the bears and otters. They can be viewed from above or below the water. The zoo's newest exhibit is great! For $1.00, you purchase a seed stick and enter a room filled with colorful parakeets. The birds come and eat from your hand. It's really enchanting! The nocturnal house is always a hit with my sons. Try to zoo's web site to see if they are offering any two for one coupons before you go. Also, you have to pay for parking when you buy your tickets so remember your stall number.

As centrally located as zoos come, this one offers more than the usual animal exhibits. You can go on an African savanna safari, ride a pony, explore a barn, among many other things that will consume most of a day. All the animals you've come to expect are there too, of course, so it's typical in that respect. Children are admitted for $7, adults $10, and toddlers up to age 2 are free.
