We took our daughter to the zoo for the first time this Spring and had a great time. It's changed a lot since I went there as a child. I love how they have tried to make the exhibits as close to what the animals' natural habitat might be. I also love their little shows and explanations for the kids to learn about the zoo. My daughter had the most fun at the petting area. Check out their summer "ZOO TUNES." It's a fun time for the family, especially if you bring a picnic!

PROS: Natural Habitats
CONS: You have to pay for parking and it fills up fast on a busy zoo day!

I've been here since I was 7 years old. Such a great place for a family to go to. It will burn lots of time as there are several things to see and play with. It is a very detailed place since the animals do need to survive in their "natural" habitat. Tigers, Lion, Hippos, Owls, otters, they have it. The food court kinda stinks though as they have only a certain number main meals. The employees there kinda suck because they give you change out of their own pocket and keep the rest. This is right on the lip of seattle in ballard. Great place to see, give it a visit with the kids.

This place is fun, even though it is one of the few zoos i have been to. I remember waiting in huge lines just to take a quick view of the new baby elephant. They have everything that you need in one place to keep your keep your kids busy throughout the whole day. Food? they have a wonderful cafe with all kids of zoo themed food and snacks. Great place for kids!

An amazing and a beautiful zoo that I have ever been to where the animal aren't behind bars. One of the most amazing sights I have ever seen before in my lifetime. Although the animals are more afraid of us than we are afraid of them. It can take some time beore they come out of they're hiding places.

I enjoyed my trip the zoo. It was a beautiful day outside, perfect for walking all the different pathways. I liked how all the paths led you to a different area or animal. Everything was connected in some type of theme. I enjoyed how the elephants and giraffes (I believe) were grouped together in an enormous pen for them to walk and play around in. The food was pricey of course, but it was excellent.

Woodland Park Zoo is the best Zoo in Washington State. The exhibits are very interesting and the zoo upgrades on a regular basis. There is a lot to see so you might want to consider an annual membership. Its hard to get through the whole zoo in one sitting. Admission pricing is fair but bring your own food since its overpriced.
