this restaurant is hands down the best ice cream parlor ever. The staff is friendly, the store is spotless, and it is for any occasion. The ice cream cakes are made fresh every day by the owner...i buy them for EVERY occasion.

if you are new to the area, or just visiting, this place is a must.

Pros: The BEST ICE CREAM ever

Cons: Very addictive :-)

I've tried a few different mix-in kinds of places, and coldstone's is my least favorite. Their base ice creams are just too airy, if that makes sense. If you want to try somethint really good, go 1/4 mile away to Marble Slab Creamery next to Koo Koo Roo's in the Marina shopping center.

This is probably the best Cold Stone in the area I live in (Culver City). There are 2 others that are close to me (downtown Culver & Westchester), but this location is the most generous, I've noticed, with their toppings. For those unfamiliar with the concept of this ice cream shop, you can either choose one of their creations or you can make your own (pick an ice cream flavor, pick the toppings & the cone/cup). Depending on the location and time, the lines can be really long (I've waited as long as 30-40 mins for the downtown Culver location). Prices range from $1.50 for the Kids Creation (but they usually ask to see a kid with you) to about $7 for a huge creation with several toppings (typical price is usually $3-4 for the regular ones). The ice cream is creamy and can get pretty addictive.
