From Amarlena. Love it!

I just finished my $10 for 10 day trial, and I think I'm addicted. I really enjoy working out in the friendly and professional environment. They have clean mats for you to use (you can bring one if you want), towel service (no paying for use of a towel here), big bottles of water for only $1, yoga gear you can buy on-site, showers with shower gel and shampoo provided, not to mention some great teachers who will make sure you push yourself, but never hurt yourself. I love the feeling of getting all the toxins out of my system and taking 90mins just to focus on my body and my health...good ol' ME TIME. The only change I'd like to see is their early morning Fire class begining earlier so I can clean up and get to work on time...my only option is to go after work, which can sometimes be difficult.
Pros: many locations, but this one has great teachers!
Cons: none

no more pain
by suzieq1234
This December, I will have been running regularly for 30 years. I calculate I have logged somewhere around 35,000 to 40,000 miles over the years. I have always enjoyed both the physiological and psychological benefits of exercise. Running has helped me stay physically, emotionally and intellectually fit. Running is a creative time for me. While my body is enjoying the repetitive movement, my mind is free. Ideas come freely.
Two years ago, I started practicing yoga at Sunstone. During my first few classes, it was a challenge just to remain in the room. It seemed so hot. I couldn't drink enough water. I couldn't imagine I would ever move into standing bow, fixed firm or Tibetan Camel and many of the other poses. But, something kept drawing me back. With each class I progressed just a little more. After a few weeks, I began to move into the postures more deeply. I began to appreciate the heat and the cleansing perspiration. I learned to breathe in a way running never taught me. The nagging little pains and soreness from running I had learned to accept began to disappear. I rarely have pain in my body now. When I do, it's normally gone after one visit to the studio.
I noticed yoga brought me an emotional peacefulness and mental clarity similar to what I experience from running but a little different. For me, running is an "inside out" process. I like to run in the morning. I get energized and my mind gets engaged. Yoga is "outside in". I like to practice yoga at the end of the day because it helps me to integrate, accept and release. Yoga is about strength, balance, focus, self control and clarity. Last summer, I attended a retreat conducted by Sam Keene, the author of "Fire in the Belly". At one point, he asked participants to think of their "sacred places". It was a no-brainer for me. Your studio on Routh has become one of my "sacred places" now.

My friends have commented on my overall appearance.
by wolfevideo
I have been taking yoga for about six months and have completed over 75 classes. I try to come at least 3 times a week. Maria, one of your instructors, commented on how she could see the change in my body. My upper body and legs are leaner and I am getting back my waistline and muscle tone. My goal is to lose all my excess body fat and to eliminate those stress toxins that have caused middle age spreading. My friends have also commented on my overall appearance, telling me that I look rested and I am walking taller. Maybe I have grown an inch from all that stretching! Phyllis Whigham
Pros: Great value

Love the space!
by allie_peter
I love the space at this location! I posted a Health and Happiness comment on my review about the location in Uptown and basically my feelings are the same for this location.
Sunstone has helped me with my health and happiness! Everyone at the studio is super nice and they are always smiling (hence the happiness line in my review). As soon as you walk into any of the studios you feel right at home. The space is clean, bright and full of well-trained instructors. The classes rock and since they offer different styles there is something there for everyone.
My recommendation: GO TO SUNSTONE!!! Everyone deserves a place to be healthy and happy.
Pros: Clean, 2 yoga rooms, great retail, awesome instructors, a good size classes schedule
Cons: Can't think of any aside from wanting more Sunstone's to visit when I travel.

Great place to learn yoga!
by terig
Sunstone Yoga is unlike any other yoga studio I've been to. When you walk in, it feels warm and enviting and the instructors are so wonderful. They are very supportive and encouraging throughout your practice.
Sunstone makes you feel it's okay you don't know the postures or maybe never done yoga. The yoga room is HUGE! I would recommend Sunstone yoga to anyone who wants to try out yoga. Especially with the $10 for 10 days!
Pros: A lot of classes offered throughout the day every day
Cons: more locations needed

BEST YOGA/ Workout
by yogachris
Awesome Yoga studio. Quality staff and instruction. I've never found a gym that can compare to this experience. If you are not looking to bulk up, this is the best workout you could ever be a part of. It has helped me loose body fat and replace it with lean functional muscle. I thought Yoga was all about streching and being flexible, but through this studo, I have come to realize it is about strength and flexibility and bringing my body back into balance. If you want the best fitness experience of your life come check it out... you'll be glad you did. They even have a 10 days for $10 to try it out. I never thought I'd be good at yoga, but now I see I feel good because of Sunstone Yoga.
Pros: Instruction, Variety, free Mats/Towels, beginner friendly, huge supportive community
Cons: Everyone cares about you, instead of wanting you to quit like at the gyms

Best hot room yoga workout
by rlwn
I love the physical benefits I get from my hot room yoga classes at Sunstone; increased flexibility, strength, and endurance. My skin has improved, I've lost weight without even trying, and I sleep through the night. That all adds up to better health. But I've really learned to appreciate what these yoga classes do for my well-being. No matter how I go into class, I come out feeling energized, relaxed, and prepared for whatever comes my way. I'm writing about the Plano studio since that is the one I go to most often. But I have been to all four locations and they're all great! The consistency and quality of instruction in all of the Sunstone studios is amazing. I try to go at least 3 times a week. If I can go 5 times, a great week is guaranteed!
Pros: variety of classes, availability of class times, great quality of instructiors
Cons: can't think of any

Great Workout
by lam12
Sunstone has a great variety of class styles to build strength, flexibility and slim your body down - whatever your fitness goal. The instructors and fellow students are always friendly. The yoga room and changing rooms are clean. The mats and towels provided are nice because I don't have to worry about bringing anything with me. Give the $10 special intro a shot and check out any location you are close to.
Pros: free mat and towel service

Great power yoga class
by hstutch
I like this studio too. Having 2 rooms gives you a lot more choice for EARTH class. If you like power yoga with a jolt of core strengthening, this is it. Your spine will thank you.
Pros: Classes every day
Cons: Even more classes would be better.

The best hot Yoga and a great friendly environment.
by shoie
When I walked into Sunstone I immediately felt the stress roll off my shoulders. The classes they provide are designed for every level, when I did my first class I was so nervous I was very concerned about how my performance would be rated, I was worried about them trying to change my religion, I was worried about my excess weight, and thought I would be surrounded by thin vegetarians that passed too much gas. Finally I just got over it and after months of procrastinating walked into the studio and just gave it a whirl. It was the best $10 I ever spent, the first class hard, it was hot and I was ?out of shape?. The instructor was great, she was very supportive and encouraging, and said some things that made feel at ease she said ?forget the person beside you, you are here today for yourself and no one else, be happy you made the effort to walk into the room today?, and she was right, I got over my fears and just turned up.
The class had approx 25 people in it, I felt O.K body wise there were people in there that were all shapes and sizes, and I was pleased to see people like me in their first class just trying to do what the teacher was directing me to do. I couldn?t do everything perfect but by end of the 10 days I could see a huge improvement from the first day. I even lost some weight! I did what the teacher said , she said just keep coming back each day and see what happens. I am still a beginner student and I try to get in to class 4 times a week. I love the heat and I am loving how I feel.
Pros: I love the Earth class room, I love the instructors.
Cons: We need more Sunstone Studios.
