After giving myself some time to cool down I am ready to write an honest review. After bringing my 2009 Ford Escape into over 24 hours earlier I called to get the status of my repair, even though i was promised, and did not receive a call that day. I was put on hold, sent to voicemail, told I would be called back in minutes all day. I spent a total of 5 hours just getting the status of the car's repair! I eventually had to demand the service manager physically walk down to the service area to find out what the status was. It turned out that because the technician assigned to the car was out of the office, it could not be approved to be worked on. Although this seems extremely silly and inefficient I would not be upset if they could have told me that at 11am when I dropped off the car instead 30 hours later! The final issue was that the winshield was broken when I went to pick up my unfinished car. The winshshield was NOT broken when I brought it in, pretty sure I would have noticed a large crack from end to end. They brought out their manager and told me it was a rock chip. Rock chips tend not to happen inside a service shop, dropped tools or parts from the dozens of cars on jacks above the cars not being worked on does happen. They took no responsibility and simply said, "I don't know anything about that" several times. Dealing with someone playing dumb in that situation is infuriating.

In my experience, the service is horrible, slow, irresponsible and dishonest. I would reccomend stearing clear of this car dealership. They are a bad cliche of dishonest mechanics and used car dealers all rolled into one automall.

Pros: In Plano

Cons: Slow, Irresponsible, Dishonest

When getting a quick repair on my Explorer, Bankston Ford provided outstanding service. Specifically, they estimated the time frame and gave me a ride home. When a needed part didn't arrive as quickly as predicted and I was up against being late to pick my children up from school. The service coordinator had the courtesy shuttle and another employee deliver my repaired car to my front door. All for a $250 repair. I'm impressed.

I used to go here for my Tempo, and Now use them for my Expedition. Every time I leave here, I'm angry and annoyed and end up having to write a nasty letter to someone.

As long as you have a warranty, you'll only be 30% annoyed-- it takes an average of 3 trips to get each little thing completely and correctly fixed if on warranty.

If your warranty is expired, SUDDENLY they know the real problem, and how to repair it, but it will cost you big bucks!

Perhaps this is just a FORD thing, but it seems we are not treated so badly at the GMC dealership for our other vehicle. And treatment is important. At this location, I have to call 4 times before they return my call, I'm never called with updates, and there have been several instances where they made a repair without my permission and expected me to pay for it.
