Seriously, I am obsessed with the fries. Dip them in the spicy ranch dressing they have and you will be transported to a higher plane of consciousness.
Pros: Friendly service, the French Fries!!
Cons: none...its all you want in a burger joint
The burger has its good points and bad points. The meat on the burger was a little bit dryer than I prefer and didn't impress me with respect to flavor or texture. The flavor in the burger was mostly defined by the sauces applied and, at times, my jaw was getting tired of chewing the firm textures in their bacon cheeseburger. But, there are lots of high points to recommend Zak's. The hamburger bun has both sesame and poppy seeds on it and clearly comes from a decent bakery. Served lightly toasted, it's definitely a bun to behold. The veggies were very fresh and delicious. I like the crispy fries and the fry sauce at the table with a hint of Tabasco in it. The onion rings also don't disappoint. The decor with the picnic tables inside is fun. Lastly, the service is top notch. They are very attentive and accommodating. If the meat in their burgers were improved some, I'd give the place a higher rating. Everything else was done well.
The burgers are great, the fries are crisp, the shakes are awesome and the service is fantastic. I love that they toast the buns. Every time I go over with my friends and even with my dog (we leash him up outside), the staff is so courteous and even brings out a bowl of water. If this place served sweet potato fries and/or whole wheat buns, I'd be there every day!
Pros: Service, can bring my dog, toasted buns, delicious burgers, crispy fries, delicious salmon burgers
Cons: no sweet potato fries, no whole wheat buns -- not real cons, but would be greatly appreciated
I stopped in here on a whim, and was glad I did. The waitress was really nice and patiently answered my boyfriend's questions. We had a cheeseburger and salmon burger with fries. The burgers were great, but I was pleasantly surprised by the fries! Covered in herbs and really yummy. I'd go back just for those! It wasn't too crowded on a nice day, and we had no trouble finding a booth seat.
Pros: Great staff, good food
Cons: Not the nicest restaurant
They have great burgers 1/3 lb singles and fries, decent beer selection too. Service is great, they seem a little understaffed at busy times, but they are always very nice. Good choice before a movie,.(next to the Majestic in Ballard)
Pros: Great Burgers
Cons: Understaffed at busy times
