Do Not Sign A Contract!!!! They are very difficult to cancel. You cannot tell your bank to prevent them from charging. You cannot cancel at the gym itself. You have to mail notice to a particular mailbox and pray that it doesn't get lost or misplaced. Further, if you mail it late, even if you can prove that you were living in a city that has no LA Fitnesses whatsoever, they refuse to backdate. This company does not want to make money off of happy customers. It wants to milk ex-customers for as much as possible! Golds gym offers everything LA Fitness does without the oppressive contract.

I've been using the Bellevue LA Fitness for a little over a year now. I??m an early bird and get my workouts done in the early morning. In my experiences I've found it to be very clean and the equipment to be well maintained. The staff is friendly as well. My first criticism is that there is a shortage of foot straps for the stationary cycles, which can be a nuisance at times. My second criticism is that, as of recently it has often been warm and muggy in the cardio room. This combined with the fact there are no fans to move the air around can result in a rather unpleasant workout experience.

I joined in spring 2006 and I was very happy with the gym until about a year ago. It is now crowded, dirty, the women' sauna is constantly broken. They give you an attitude when you inquire about it and threaten they will completely close it down. The prices have gone up, the parking space is spare as you share the parking garage with the entire plaza. The receptionists are rude. I paid a year in advance but I can't wait for the year to be up to go somewhere else!!

I am formerly a member of Epicenter, which is also in downtown Bellevue. Recently Epicenter went out of business, and sold thier clients to L.A. Fitness. My husband and I finally got a chance to check out the new gym we've been forced into having a memership with. I was disappointed the moment I walked in the front door. It was 8pm, and the place was still packed. There were so many bodies that the air was muggy, and smell made me queezy. The fans did little more than push the nasty air around so that everyone could enjoy the smelly heat wave. And although I will admit that the equipment looked quit nice, I'll be lucky to find an open cardio machine without having to fight my way to it. I'll add one final word "MEATMARKET"

I am sure tht anyone who joins this club is sure to hate it in a couple of months. Of course the first 2 days are always the best as u are being showed the best things the club has to offer. I had joined the club at renton coz it was closer to my house than the other clubseven though i was getting discount from my work at the other ones . When I went in to check it out, the employess their told me that they will also be opening a new club near frys. I wasn't interested since it will be farther away from my house. I asked them specifically whether they will be closing the renton club and they told me "NO". But in 4 months after I joined they moved to a different place near frys. Now that location is about 8 miles away from my house. So I called them up and told them that I wanna cancel my membership but I wanted my enrollment fees back and ofcourse they won't be willing to do tht. When I told them that their employee had told me that the club I was going to will not be closed and that is the only reason I had signed up for it...they replied that they didn't know it would be closed. Well come on people you want me to belive that. They just said any lies to get me in. And now they don't care whether I stay or go. And the person I talked to at the head office was such a b****. She was so rude that when I am trying to explain her my situation she was giving me "the I really don't care" attitude. On being asked to talk to her superviser or manager, she told me that she is the manager. And the funniest thing was at the end of the conversation she told me that she will have her manager call me back. And its been a month I haven't recived any feedback from them. Apart from this one experience , when i use to go to the club i had couple of other worst customer experiences. I just don't have enough space here to talk about them.
LA fitness has the worst customer service. All they care is for your money and not you or maintaining their equipment or even cleanliness.

No joke, LA fitness is by far the beat gym in downtown Bellevue. Four stories with a pool sauna bball and classes. I went in during the special promo time so I'm paying $30 monthly not the standard $40. I did pay a $200 initiataion but I'm fine with it, same monthly rate as 24 with more stuff? Check them out, go to 24 first and don't sign!! Then you'll really see the difference.

These guys are BAD! I was a member with Pure Fitness when these dirt bags bought them out. They promise you a lot but can't deliver! And it's obvious they don't even care about their employees either. My former trainer took a $9 an hour pay cut when these theives took over and then they had the nerve to tell me I had to pay $20 more per session? I know it's not the employees fault for some greedy fat cat sitting in an office 100's of miles away wanting to take our hard earned money but c'mon. These kids at the Westlake club are doing everything with a smile on their face but getting no help from their superiors. The head of the personal trainers, Natalie, is a joke. Don't you think if you are pushing training you should look the part? Not like a weirded-out coke head? Maybe she should hire one of her employees to help her out-just a thought. The Westlake club has fallen to pieces since LA came in. It's obvious they don't; nothing is being repaired and if it is, it takes WEEKS or MONTHS for it to happen. the GM of the club Jason is a joke. All he cares about is making a sale. After politely pointing out a few hazards in the club he said there is nothing he can do about it because he is "not authorized to make the call. Our maintenance guy has to handle that. But if you would like to upgrade your membership I can do that for you. It'll only cost you 16 buck more a month." WHAT??? The only people that care about you are the trainers, but many of them are finding better opportunities else where. Rose, Geoff, Austin, Derek, Gina, Derek, Randy, JL all gone. And the one person that was a staple there for nearly 4 years Mike was shipped off to another club. i hear he finally wised up and moved onto greener pastures. I guess what I am saying is if they can't keep their employees happy what would make you think you"ll be happy here? Once my pre-paid membership is up in December I'm going Meiko where many of the old Pure Fitness employees are. DON'T JOIN LA FITNESS RIP OFF!
