They offer coupons, and that was awesome! Why these other reviewers complain about discounts, i dont get it.\nAs a small business owner I totally get that you can't offer everything for free, people expect TOO much. Stop tring to get everything for free people, these businesses HAVE TO make money or they go UNDER! This is callled ""common sense"".\n\nI think this place is great. Have been coming for years.\nI was happy to pay cash for the coupon.\nP.S. Food rocks here. Try the Fundido.

Love the food, but watch out. They have many coupons, but you must pay cash to use the coupon. How bogus for an upscale resturant!!

Everything is just great about this place. The food is fresh and tasty... This is not a taco bell place. Service was great. Best magritias i've had. Not too pricey... Very clean. In the summer the outside opens. On a nice day its good to sit out there and sip on magritias. This place is the BEST!

Last night was my third time in 2 months and I must say this. Many places call themselves Mexican, but this restaurant has the best food I have ever had at very reasonable prices, Margaritas are great and the staff friendly and attentive, a must try!

My Dad is such a foodie and he always talks about Coyote Crossing as the best Mexican restaurant so I finally went there this past weekend, and I must say I was very impressed with the food, the margaritas, the friendly service and reasonable prices, I never thought Mexican Food can taste this good so two thumbs up for this wonderful place, can't wait to go back in a couple of weeks and sit outside besides the fact that I am already craving the seabass with the chipotle mint sauce OUT OF THIS WORLD!

I have heard so much about this place, once in a while a few bad comments about people who describe the place as expensive, however I guess this is the type of people that eat at taco bell and think american cuisine is Burguer king. \r\nIt was my first time this past weekend and I was very impressed, never thought Mexican cuisine could be this good, the Margaritas were awesome and the staff vivid and friendly, I saw the outdoor area and it seems like a very spectacular place to have dinner, can't wait to come back, my husband and I had an amaizing dinner for under 80 bucks!

Pros: This place is a Gem!

Cons: had to park on the street and waited at the bar for 20 minutes oh well it was fun!

.

I heard about this restaurant so many times, mix reviews, some good, some bad so I desided to give it a try myself, no restaurant that is mediocre can survive for 13 years in such a hidden location.\r\nI went there and I was received at the door in a very friendly way by the host (which later on introduce himself as the owner) the bartenders were ok, it was a tall black gentleman that seemed more aggravated than happy to serve us, however the shorter Latin kid was attentive, full of energy and he smiled often, margaritas were absolutely fantastic and fairly priced. The dining room was vivid and alive with a georgeous Fire Place. \r\nWe oredered nachos and ribs and they were outstanding!! our server a Latin dark skin girl was so nice we were very impressed, the entrees were even better, we had a stuff poblano pepper with a blend of mexican cheesse and I had the fillet special, which was the most flavorful piece of meat I have ever had. Desserts were ok but they need more selection. Seeing the owner on my table asking if there was anything that he could do to enhance our experience made me feel that I was so important and welcome, they need to hire a girl that smiles behind that bar, and improve dessert selection for that to be perfect, however I can't wait to go back, specially when you have such a wonderful meal and walk away with a check under 80 bucks, 5 stars for this hidden jewel and now I know why they have open for 13 years!.

Pros: Outdoor, Fair Prices, AMAIZING FOOD!

Cons: little parking, oh well, plenty street parking

The food here is pretty basic, and very over priced. Skip dessert, it is not worth it. However, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Specials are ok.

When I read Gourmet magazine saying this was one of the best mexican restaurants in The USA I did not believe it, However I have been there 3 times in the past month and when I readthos horrible reviews by people who do not understand food made me very angry and I felt I needed to write my own review. The staff is very friendly, and the food incredible, fresh and shows dedication and flavor, I find the prices fair to inexpensive for what you get and the Margaritas are a must try, I will continue to patronize this fine stablishment that with the arrivals of all the fast food franchises has become more and more a hidden jewel.

Love this place, usually take out of town guest to this place - the food is fresh and very tasty, the pitchers of margarita's are my favorite of all, and the best time to go is when the outside is open otherwise I think this little place is very loud, not sure if it's the small dining area with the high ceilings, but not a place if your looking for somewhere quiet.

I am, frankly, shocked, at the complaints about poor service. I have been here several times with various friends (we've even brought Mom once!) , and have never had rude or neglectful service. In fact, the waitstaff have always been very personable and friendly! I HAVE waited for a table for a fairly long time (once), but that time was considerably shortened by the pitcher of frozen margaritas at the bar!! For the record, I am sometimes embarrassing to my husband, because one of my pet peeves in life is rudeness, followed closely by poor service. I feel very strongly about tipping accordingly! (The third item on that list is 'misplaced' arrogance. You know, by waiters/waitresses who think that I should feel privileged to have them there at all!) Anyway, I will continue to patronize Coyote Crossing, and hopefully will not have the kinds of issues with staff, food, etc. that others have suffered through. By the way, I have never been to Texas, and only once to Mexico, but I think the food here is terrific!! And you can't beat the patio in the heart of Conshy on a summer night. If you didn't know better, you would never believe that you're in the middle of a neighborhood!!

Great place to go for good Mexican food. Not greasy, good selection, very good drinks! Nice deck and place to sit outside and have sangria. Gets a little loud during happy hour, but still worth a visit!

Service was the not the best. As a matter of fact it was the worst part if you are not willing to wait. HOWEVER, the food was the best mexican food that I have ever had. Even the chip and salsa was the best I have ever had. I give this place a 5 for rating only because the food more then makes up for the service.

I have never been treated so poorly at a restaurant before!! After making reservations a month prior, (and confirming my reservations 4 times) I showed up with a large group and was told by the incompetent hostess, ""We dont take reservations."" \r\n\r\nWe didnt even make it to dinner, as we decided our money would be better spent elsewhere. I couldn't even begin to explain how rude the manager David was, and how he spoke so condecendingly to me. My best recommendation is to NEVER even bother to go to this establishment. They will only treat you like dirt from the moment you walk in. \r\n\r\nIf you value your money and time, go to El Vez....the guacamole is fantastic and the service is wonderful.

We called for months to get reservations outside for 16 people for my best friends birthday! They assured us it would be setup etc. We got there Friday night and they had NOTHING set up for us. The old bald man we spoke to said he doesnt take reservations.....we will never go back there again! AWFUL service and RUDE employees, for food that isnt even that good!

Hopefully all the bad reviews and high prices will scare away enough people so that I can get a table. Get the steak special...fabulous. It has been a special for over 2 years and counting.....haha. Have a few margueritas and shots of tequila and you won't mind the wait or the hostess.

Four girlfriends and I went here for dinner a few weeks ago on a week night. Three of us were present and we put our name in for an outside table. We were waiting on two others and they said they would not seat us until everyone was there. Hate that ? but fair enough I guess. \r\n \r\nThey ended up seating the three of us as we had been sitting at the bar for awhile with drinks, but no food. We sat at the table for a good amount of time and no one came by to give us water or chips and salsa or anything. When the waiter finally did get to our table, we were ready with an appetizer and drink order. He says ?Well, you can't order any appetizers until everyone gets here - you have to order your apps and entrees together because we have to move things along? !!!!!!!!!!!!!! He actually said that!!! We were annoyed to say the least. We finally get to sit down but now you won?t serve us food? Wouldn't it move things along more quickly if you put the order in sooner than later? What?s the logic on that?\r\n\r\nThe last two ladies arrived; we filled them in on the absurdities of this place and then hurried them along to pick their entrees. One in the group wanted to order an appetizer for dinner and the waiter directed us to the sign on the table that stated EVERYONE at the table must order an entree. She offered to pay for a larger portion of the appetizer ? but this was shot down immediately. It?s not like we were drunken college students just wanting to sit down and order chips! We are 5 women trying to go out and have a nice dinner! Clearly, we were striking out all over at this place. \r\n\r\nThe food was good, but overpriced ? nothing to write home about though. The outside patio is beautiful ? but not beautiful enough for me to put up with that service again. Someone needs to remind them that they are a restaurant that has paying customers wanting a relaxing night out ? not a middle school cafeteria where you get shackled with rules.\r\n

I went to Coyote Crossings with 4 other friends and was told that outside wait for an hour and 45 minutes, and the inside wait was an hour. We chose to wait for the inside due to the shorter wait. However, after an hour and 15 minutes of waiting, we asked the hostess how much longer we had to wait, she informed us that there were 2 people in front of us. I was at the bar and a couple who had come later than us, by at least 30 minutes, was seated before us. Meanwhile, over 4 tables outside had opened up and when we asked when we'd be seated, there were at least 3 tables that could accomodate us, yet they did not seat us. We ended up waiting 2 hours before my friend told the hostess, if you do not seat us, we will leave. Conveniently, they were able to seat us, but it gets better. We sat down and NOT ONE SERVER GREETED US, OR GAVE US SILVERWARE, OR EVEN ASKED IF WE NEEDED WATER. We waited 15 minutes yet no one came. We ended up leaving due to the poor service. My friend spoke to the manager and he gave him a paltry $30 gift certificate. Any reputable establishment would have comp'ed the entire meal. He was rude and did not care how he was treating us. He was not welcoming to all nationalities and condescending. The gift certificate has no significance to me, since I will never step foot in that establishment ever again. The table that they sat us at, there will 3 other open, the same exact size open, even when we asked how much longer we had to wait. I will report them to the bureau. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT!

We visited Coyote Crossing as a group for the last time. Our prior visit, over a year ago, was fabulous! we were so pleased with everything. I lived in Mexico for over 15 yrs. I know good Mexican food. This visit was totally opposite our first, and it was embarrassing as well, since we invited our parents who were anxious to experience the wonders we experienced during our first visit. We were all terribly dissapointed w/ the food--apparently the new ""chef"" changed the menu to what is now, Faux Mexican, w/a much higher price tag than our last visit. What was more infurriating was that dishes held the names of real Mexican dishes, yet when they arrived they were so far from Mexican we could have gone to any Nouveau Cuisine restaurant. The combo of ingredients was horrible. The Chiles Rellenos were small poblano pepers filled with a mixture of ingredients & spices that tasted nothing of Mexico, the Salmon I ordered was the worse Salmon dish I've ever had. It was not fresh (as they reported), was fishy, dry and covered w/ a sauce that clashed terribly w/ the natural flavor of Salmon, the tamale that came with it was as hard & dry as a rock. The appetizers were nothing to write about & were also Faux Mexican they could have been served anywhere. \r\n\r\nService was bad, our drinks were served one person at a time, w/ long waits from the time the 1st one got their drink & the last one got theirs. My companion's drink had small pieces of paper floating in it and it took over 20 mins. to flag anyone down to attend to this. It would have been faster for us to have gone to the market for water than wait for the servers to remember our repeated requests for water.\r\n\r\nWhat put the nail in the coffin was the uninterested attitude the manager had when we spoke with him about all the problems we had during our meal. He shrugged, nodded, said thank you and left. \r\nNever Again!

Pros: Architecture and design of the dinning courtyard

Cons: Food (Faux Mexican), Service, Price

.

This was my favorite outside venue, not anymore! They have raised prices to a fine dining level without delivering an experience commensurate with the increase. Appetizers around $15, scallops $29, fajitas $21. We tolerated the wait before and it was worth it, but a bad manager seems to give the entire front of the house an attitude. I gave them a poor written review after our meal on the card provided and, after asking what was wrong, the manager said, ""I run this place and I run it well, now what's the bottom line because I have to get back to work!"" The Bottom line is, the fish was undercooked, the service was bad, and the prices are silly h for what they deliver. We would have given it a 2nd chance if the manager wasn't rude but we won't go back and we cannot recommend Coyote Crossing to anyone.

You have got to try the Queso Condedo with chorizo sausage and poblanos, it was so good. They have a limited mexican and not classic mexican but what they have is great. they have seafood, chicken, steak, etc. something for everyone. Watch out though, no kids meals and I paid $9 for little more than flour tortillas with cheese, aka quesedillas!

We had a little trouble finding the place, but once you find it this Mexican restaurant provides a fun setting for a large group of people. I especially liked the outside, which was surrounded by trees that had been strung with white christmas lights, and there were also a few fountains to add to the ambiance. The food itself was also delicious, and I wouldn't mind getting the recipe for the tasty salad dressing.

It is very loud that you can't have a conversation. The service is terrible. The margarita's are very sweet. Overall rating is very low on my part.

I have been to Coyote Crossing three times and have always experienced poor service. Our waiter never returned after taking our order. The food was served cold and you had to read lips in order to have a conversation. The outdoor patio is very nice but they allow you to only order drinks if you like. It would cut down on the noise in the actual restaurant.

This place is really cool, but according to the sign on the door, it is not really a great place if you are looking for an outdoor bar....everyone sitting outside must order an entree, hence making it a restaurant!

In all of greater Philadelphia, this place gets my vote for the single worst place to eat EVER. Any positive review gives me pause. I've been there 5 times, so my bad experiences have not been flukes. I only returned because of planned celebrations there. On those occasions, I laid and won bets on the bad things that would happen to our party. More than once I ordered food, never received it, and met hostility when asking for it again. The staff openly treats you like they resent you. I cannot emphasize that enough. You're subject to more rules and restrictions than in grade school. They literally have them posted on the tables. The food is acceptable, but the prices are exorbitant for what you get. I'm about as mellow a diner as a restaurant can ask for, and even I cannot believe this place is still in business.

I've been to Mexico as well as Texas many times and I don't know who the owners/cooks/servers at Coyote Crossing are trying to convince that they're serving authentic Mexican / Tex-Mex food. This place sucks! I've been here at least a dozen times and I ask myself why every time! Stick to the Tequila, Beer and chips; that's all the quality you've got! Anyone that wants to wait two hours for a table is crazy! Taco Bell has better food!!!

Though the outside patio is very nice in the summer, the experience ends there. Recently the portion sizes have been cut in half while the prices have skyrocketed (the average lunch is over $15) The service has always been terribly slow, and they are in general more strict than welcoming. Two of us had ordered 3 appetizers to share, plus drinks, but were told that we had to choose from the (very expensive) entree menu to sit outside. The iron outdoor furniture is very pretty, but very uncomfortable, and the tables were not designed to eat a meal at as you can't pull the chair all the way in without bruising your shins! And if you can get past all of that, the food is just OK, and certainly not worth the wait.

I love this restaurant! Let's start off with the warm Mexican cafe atmosphere, complete with a large working woodburning fireplace on one end of the room. Then there are their margarita's--all kinds (many flavors) served any way you like (straight up, on the rocks, frozen). Any given night there are additions to the menu which make chosing one thing nearly impossible. My favorite was a crepe filled with shrimp which had first been sauteed in white wine--then the whole dish was smothered in flavorful pablano sauce. I have also enjoyed the chuncky homemade guacamole. Basically, everything on the menu is delicious. You won't find much of the usual Tex-mex fare here.

Always start on a positive, the margaritas rocked! Then it all went downhill. First, the place is too loud, I had to read lips all night. Then I got my entree, talk about no value for the price! The service was horrendous and slow. Very disappointing and I won't go back.

The most authentic Mexican food in the entire area!\nWonderful atmosphere, large portions, friendly staff. A bit noisy, but fun. Makes you feel like you're in a little part of Mexico!

This used to be a favorite haunt for my husband and myself, as it was the site of our first date. However, our most recent visit last summer for my husband's birthday was a nightmare. The restaurant does not take reservations, and 4 of us arrived at 7 and waited two hours for a table (despite being told it would be a one-hr wait). Both bars indoors and out were jammed shoulder to shoulder. By the time we were seated and had our appetizers it was after 10pm. It was not a good experience and we will not return.

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday because I absolutely love Mexican food. The food was overpriced and bland. The restaurant was virtually empty and the service was STILL slow. I definitely will not be going back.

I've been here a few times for business lunches, and we've always been seated promptly. However, true to what the other reviews state, the waitstaff is sometimes negligent once you've been seated. I've also found the experience to be too ""relaxed"" (read: slow) to be a successful lunch hour trip, so it's reserved for special occasions. The price also limits the experience to special occasions, unless you are one of the patrons parking your Jag or Mercedes out front. Food? I've always enjoyed the ""authentic"" chips and salsa, and the Cuban sandwich is wonderful. The outdoor patio is a treat.

Good food, not-so-good service. On a recent Saturday night visit with 2 others, we were promptly seated on the patio, yet we must have turned invisible from that point on. We waited nearly 20 minutes for the waiter to approach to take our drink order, and another 20 for his return with our drinks and to take our food order. We didn't take it personally, though, since most of our fellow diners were ""enjoying"" the same experience. The food was very good, but we could have clearly run up the bar tab with at least 2 more drinks apiece had our pleasant, but inattentative, waiter returned before the end of our meal. Will I go back....? I don't know. If I do, I'll have to block out a pretty big chunk of time... and patience.

If you are searching for real Mexican food, keep driving out to Broad Axe, Center Square or Chalfont. Our dishes were heavy on rice and chips. The meat, chicken, chorizo, part was only two bites. It tries to be fancy Mexican food; but, you'll leave feeling cheated.

I am new to the area and thought i would be getting a nice authentic meal...It is completely Americanized to obviously cater to those who do not know what authentic means. The owners know where they are as far as location and therefore can get away with the over priced food. I rate this similar to what i would rate Taco Bell or Chi-Chi's ! Nice for a happy hour but that's about it. Its the outdoor brick patio that does it.

The atmospher is wonderful! Especially outside on the patio but if you're hungry at all stick with the fajitas. All the other meals are tiny. Our entire party left very hungry and $15 poorer. I'd suggest sticking to a drink and an appetizer and eating dinner somewhere else!

The best part of this restaurant, is the out door dining area. It's lovely. The hostess will tell you there is an hour wait (but, I don't think that's always true). Get a pitcher of marguerita's and hang out. It's a fun night, in a beautiful outdoor garden.
