Even though this place looks run down you have to go inside and rummage through to find absolute steals. I got a brand new in box Hoover steam vac for about $100 compare with big box at $200. I have brought name brand cereals for $1a piece and bags of name brand candy go for about half of retail. You just never know what you will find so have fun searching.

This store is remarkeable in that you never know what you are going to find. The prices are great to.. There are however a few drawbacks. First off there is no organization whatsoever in this store and I find that annoying. The next thing is they never carry anything long enough. I guess that where the phrase comes in "you need to buy it when you see it as it may no longer be there". They are friendly th ough and do have ample parking.

Marden's in Brewer, Maine has something for everyone. It's a salvage store with deep discounted products such as food (name brand cereals, candy, rice, soups, etc.), clothing (name brands such as Gap, Levis, Calvin Klein, etc.), shoes (Reebox, Sketchers, Fila, Adidas, etc.), toys, fabrics, bedding, office supplies, household goods, jewelry, hardware, cleaning supplies, health and beauty products, furniture, and carpeting (they even install).
It's hard to come out of Marden's empty handed. I get the kids all their shoes/sneakers/boots at Marden's really cheap. A pair of Reebox basketball sneakers that would normally cost me almost $50 at any other retail outlet only cost me $20 at Mardens! Boots run around $10!
You can get 66 minute phone cards (AT&T) for only $1.50! I pick up candy bars for 5 for $1.00 - now where can you get a deal like that! The bargains are endless. You have to go almost every week because they get in new stuff all the time. If you see a good deal one day it can be gone the next, so grab it while you can.
Whether your a local or a tourist it's a must stop at store. When we have company come to visit, they always ask if they can go to Marden's.

PROS: Great variety, inexpensive, good return policy
CONS: Grab it while you can or it will be gone!!
