As a young couple went here in an emergency situation with our cat, who had a urinary block and needed an emergency procedure for $1500. It kept happening, and we couldn't catch up to get him the surgery to avoid it from happening. We paid, everything was good, until it happened again a month later. We were told by the idiot want-to-be corporate accounting contact that 'this is a business not a charity' as our cat lay dying, but that to put him down (he was 2 years old) would only be $200 bucks. We had already successfully paid the first surgery. As our cat laid dying, she gave me a few numbers of local vets that could maybe give us a payment plan. We sat out in the car in tears, calling all area hospitals to beg for a payment plan. Saying we'd rather save him than pay our mortgage. Again, had already had the same surgery with them and paid fine once. Finally the VETS insisted it was OK, and they fixed him. We wrote her a variety of post dated checks (which she called at 9pm and insisted we bring immediately, which we did), which was the agreement, which they lost and never cashed, then took us to court and ruined the credit I had worked to repair after my college years. Small time wanna-be big time accounting snot in financial department, but kind, considerate vets that know what they're doing. That woman is disgusting. Don't trust the billing department to help, and even if they do, they won't cash the checks right - pay close attention that they're taking your money! At least my cat is alive, healthy, and will never go back to those disgusting people! There's a really good ER vet in Rocky Hill, avoid this place only because of her.

You will almost always be guaranteed a long (and I mean LONG) wait, even at 6:30 am, but its worth it-- the vets at CT Vet really know their stuff. And they clearly love the animals!! We fortunately never had to use their emergency services but at least 3 friends have had to and have had nothing but good things to say of them as well. Dr Hoppy is by far our favorite.

I used another vet for a few years but I was never quite satisfied about the way thee whole operation worked.
I happened to come across a vet the worked at the connecticut Veterinary center one day and I decied to try at least once and I was very satisfied. They happened to be
the most through, and dedicated animal lovers, and you feel so confident bringing your pet here.
The are real professionals.

PROS: Great vets
CONS: n/a

First walking to the building you notice that they have separate entrances for dogs and cats and birds, etc. Which struck me as being extremely practical and much more safe. In fact once inside, the different types of animals are segregated in the waiting rooms so there is no possibility of potential conflicts. The vet was extremely friendly, played with our dog a little first before starting her exam. She answered all our questions thoroughly. Even though we have only been there once, I feel very comfortable bringing my dog there again.
