My wife and I dined in on Saturday. This was the best buffet I have had in 2 weeks. the food was hot and fresh and the general tsos tasted like it always had so did the hot and sour soup mushrooms and chicken and broccoli and cashew chicken and honey chicken which is new also every this else was superb. Drinks were also fresh and refilled as they ran out as also was the buffet in a timely manner. customer service was A plus and bus service was spot on. A plus To Ren and his wife and staff

When it comes to chinese food buffets this one is a keeper. If you are in the Elk River area or the New Hope area for the price it is difficult to beat this place. Food is good. Some items are not as appealing especially if they sit out a while but what do you expect its a buffet.

Rationing Food is ridiculous at a buffet. The owner said they reached their allotment one evening when we asked why there were no more crab legs. At lunch they only have two types of seafood one being mussels that sometimes after the pan is empty they bring out porklinks on a stick instead. The other item is a stirfry labeled as seafood but other than the artificial crab the only seafood in it Sometimes is shrimp. The put less than 2 dozen shrimp in the pan and when they are picked out they leave the remaining half a pan with vegtables sit until it is almost empty before they will bring out more. Even then after waiting sometimes a half an hour or more they bring out a pan with only vegtables and no shrimp. I have also on more than one occasion had a chicken wing still have feathers attached. There is no service or waitstaff so you must pay first then make a couple of trips to your table to get a beverage and your food and silverware since none of this is provided at the table. You are on your own to hope to get some before it is picked pretty bare. They Always fill the cheapest dishes like rice and noodle first on the buffet like another guest said. Really before you pay go look and see if there is any seafood out there and even if you don't care about that just watch the chicken wings are always filled after all the rice and noodles.

The neg. reviews are unfair and everyone is entitled to an opinion, so here's mine.
This place is busy- parking lot is always full at noon- why?? because the food is great- you can eat quickly and the workers are very friendly! You help yourself to beverages and food, seat yourself (which is SO GREAT BECAUSE YOU GET TO CHOOSE WHERE YOU SIT !!!!!!!! Imagine that- wouldn't it be better if all rests let you walk-in and choose your fav seat?
We eat there quite often even though we live out of town and have for years! The workers make us feel like friends.
Back to the food- They have a unique sesame chicken that is my favorite dish above any dish at any buffet anywhere. It is worth the stop alone. Great Lo mein also. This is the best place to feed a family- fresh fruit, veges, rice and fish for my child- so I know he's eating healthy- same price as McD's! You can also run in quick and get food from the buffet in a to-go container.
My only negative is that their cheese wontons are waxy and I really can't stand them. Hopefully they read this review and can change them.
Actually, they have at least 5 other main dishes that are quality, great tasting...... I think we'll take a lunch trip today- After writing, I'm craving their food!

Make old people wait to be seated to pay first then don't even seat them just find a clean table on your own. No beverage service let alone anything else. Don't let the door hit you on the way out as I watched a man with a cane struggle. They do fill the cheapest stuff first. I have heard from the roofers doing my house no mas shrimp which means shrimp. He brings them out a handful at a time for lunch hiding under giant broccoli and cauliflower. It is a real joke. It is like all about a clock if he can stall a few extra minutes maybe people will take some cheap noodles or rice rather than wait for some low quality meat. Check the tables before paying to see what I mean

This place has no servers. You pay first just under $8 for Lunch I believe 7.87 then seat yourself and as with most buffets help yourself. No silverware on the tables or beverage service so you have to get your own beverages on a second trip. There is also no wrapped silverware as it is all loose in buckets for everyone to dig in and touch it. I looked at 4 forks to find a straight one. The biggest complaint as others on other sites have noted is that they play the waiting game. When a meat dish is empty it is filled last. First they heap up the piles of rice to try to entice you to fill up on cheap filler. Then they bring out the meat. The worst is the seafood because they only have mussels in the shell and only one shrimp dish which is a stir fry with lots of vegetables. The shrimp are quickly consumed in minutes by people waiting to get a few they the pan keeps getting stirred by the kitchen man who brings out the food until all the vegetables are gone before it is refilled sometimes almost an hour later. Sometimes the mussels when finished are replaced by whole kernel corn or little pieces of hot dogs wrapped in dough. The shrimp pan (moo goo they call it) sometimes is brought out without any shrimp at all in it. I will try to upload a picture of a shrimp less shrimp pan soon. They offer no fried shrimp or cold shrimp for lunch like others do. The dinner buffet for over $10 offers crab legs when they want to put some out. They use the smallest size and lowest quality you can buy and again wait until all the small pieces are gone before bringing more out. One night last month we asked the woman at the desk when more crab legs were coming out and she said soon. Over half an hour later she said to us that " we reached our allotment so no more today" The salad bar is very limited, the soda pop sometimes flat, the fish a grey brownish colored fried mystery inside probably Pollack at about a buck a pound, the chicken wings are not the jumbos and rarely are there both pieces usually just the boney side with no drummies.I am a fair person who eats out everyday and the only reason I have went there more than once is many of my associates have offices nearby and the location is great which is the only reason he has any business. There is a Leeann Chins across the highway with better quality food and another buffet 2 miles south behind the Holiday Inn in Otsego. I personally prefer to go to Coon Rapids 15 minutes away where there are several much better Chinese places and buffets. Look close at this places odd food options like big beef neck bones with very little meat on mostly fat and gristle inside of the traditional barbecued spare ribs. The tables do not even offer the traditional red hot sauce or any type of the bottled sauces like the squeeze bottles with the rooster on many places have. There is no sushi with shrimp or fish either like many places. In conclusion they charge as much or more than others and offer very little in both service and food quality.

One of the better buffets that I have been to. It has a nice variety of high quality food items and keep the pans well stocked. The service was adequate, they remove empty plates from the table quickly, otherwise you are on your own for beverages and the like...but at the price it's a bargain. I will visit again.

As other review sites have indicated it is very low quality food. There is no service even for beverages just pay first and hope the to get a few warm items to go with the nearly empty pans of leftover veggies. The meat is put out last. The silverware is unwrapped and people pull it out of bins looking for a straight fork. The fortune cookies the same and unwrapped also. The chicken wings are the boney tip only no drummies. If there is any shrimp or mussels at lunch they are rarely refilled many times replaced by more veggies.

Well we were hesitant to go try this place out, like everything else- some chinese resturants are great, others aren't. We went, & I am looking forward to going back, soon! We weren't sure if we were suppose to seat ourselves, because there wasn't a sign, finally I asked the busy cashier, She said we pay before we sit down (like Old Country Buffet I guess). It was $8.45 for the dinner buffet, $6.35 for lunch, includes beverages, & dessert. We had a little trouble finding a high chair w/ good straps &buckle on it. I took a variety of food to sample & I really enjoyed all of the food. I've had chinese food that was addicting because they put a bunch of MSG in it, which makes you want more, but this food had good flavor. The egg rolls were fantastic! The meat was not the cheap pressed stuff, there were chunks of chix in the wontons. I thought the variety of the selection was also good, something for everyone, & kept well stocked with fresh food. The place was pretty clean, & well maintained.

PROS: great food, great price for all you can eat, & drink
CONS:
