Child Advocacy Ctr

Coming to this little yellow house in the park really makes a difference and helps children to feel safe and listened to. The staff there are great to work with.

The Child Advocacy Center is the best place for kids to go if they have been physically or sexually abused in some way, and need a safe place to report it to authorities. Both the external and internal design say "this is a kid-friendly place." The staff are highly trained to be sensitive to kids' emotional and physical needs as they get involved in the reporting process. You don't have to worry that your kid will be even more traumatized by some idiot making stupid or inappropriate remarks, like "what did you do to deserve it?" or something like that. Unfortunately, many who deal with children in abusive situations are not trained and say very inappropriate, damaging things to kids. If my child were experiencing these kinds of problems, I would take her here and feel confident that she would be treated respectfully and professionally.
