This place is absolutely awful, just awful! We waited OVER an hour for simple sandwiches and burgers, we didn't have ketchup at the table when our food (which all included fries) arrived, which is basic steps of service. They had a young boy waiting tables who couldn't have been more that 12 or 13 years old, which is illegal. Then when our food finally arrived an hour later, we found hair on not one but TWO of the meals. When we brought this to the managers attention he turned around and completely ignored us. We didn't even eat the food out of fear we'd find more hair in it and the manager STILL wanted us to pay for our disgustingly sub par meal. I would never go back to that place if I was paid to, I'd rather pay to eat a plate of feces than deal with that horrible place accompanied by an absolutely horrid staff

When my sandwich arrived it was wrong so I asked them to bring the right one. The other 6 people that we were eating with had finished their meals and my corrected sandwich had not arrived yet. I told the waitress to just cancel it, since our meal had ended and we were told that we "had to pay for it anyway, so we might as well take it to go". We asked for the manager. The manager arrived with a terrible attitude telling us that the waitress was correct, we HAD to take the sandwich. We said we weren't taking it and weren't paying for it. The manager said that was fine, she would make the waitress pay for it. They handled a very simple error in such a poor manner that they lost 7 adults that will never return and will spread the word about the poor service.

I went to the Valhalla Crossing for the first time on Aug 14 2010 My wife and I had the Chicken Parm Which was enough food for two. We really licked the atmosphere, not to mention the trains. The dessert was great i had the s&s Cheesecake, and my wife had the canolie. Next time I want a seat by the tracks. i highly reccomend this restaurant to anybody and everybody.

First of all, the name is now the Valhalla Crossing. It's a GREAT place to go for whatever you're looking to do! Whether you want a nice quiet dinner in one of the restaurant cars, a private part in the Presidential Car, or gather a bunch of friends in the huge bar car, this is the place for you! The restaurant utilizes the Valhalla train station parking lot. There is abundant parking at night, and special "restaurant only" parking during the day. Owners Stan and Louise Chelluck have really made the place feel very welcoming. They have an extensive wine list, as well as over a dozen beers on tap. Bar Manager Kevin McCowan can make any drink you ask for, and CIA Chef Terry Ryan amazing culinary skills must be tasted to be believed. I've had just about everything on the menu -- which changes every season or so -- and everything from the stuffed burgers, to ribs, to the pasta dishes, to the Lenten seafood specials are cooked to perfection. There are attractively-priced midweek specials (Tuesday-Thursday), and usually weekend specials where Chef Ryan truly shines. And unless you come REALLY hungry, you'll definitely have leftovers to take home!
