Not the fastest place to go to. We waited 1 1/2 hour to never be seen. I guess they don't need new clients, but most businesses do so long term is not their business plan! We will not recommend this place to anyone who has valuable things

We had been using this vet for years and pretty much noted that we consistently ended up leaving there with significantly large bills for what were simple problems. We brought our 18 year old Golden to them for an end of life solution after she had watermelon discharge from rectum. We suspected she had a perforated colon. We even brought a sample of the discharge. The vet Dr Lewis Faulkner looked at her and after blood tests proclaimed that she had hepatitis because of high liver enzymes and said that they could help her. At that point most pet lovers would look for any reason to keep there pet alive. You have to understand that she could not walk. We had to carry her in to the office. The vet prescribed a complete profile work up and gave us 10 different med to give her from Prednisone to Vitamin B12. She could hardly hold her head up and they wanted us to force feed the meds. The bill was over $600. Well to make a long story short. She died a horrible death in our arms shortly after we got home. We now have hundreds of dollars of meds that of course they will not take back. But that is not the point. The hard decisions to put a creature down is part of what a vet has to do. A truly compassionate Dr. would have given us the bad news. Instead, it was a business decision to give us false hope by attempting to prolong her life. The facts speak for them selves. Five Points are strictly a mercenary organization bent on extracting as much profit as possible. A better alternative would be: Aliquippa Animal Hospital 2672 Brodhead Rd, Aliquippa, PA 15001

My regular vet referred me to Dr Boswell at Five points for my Jack Russell who had developed a mast cell tumor. She told me though she could do the surgery herself, Dr Boswell had far more expertise with this kind of tumor and my dog's chances were best having Dr Boswell do the surgery. The staff was very kind and supportive. We were seen in a timely manner and the Dr explained what he had to do in layman's terms so I fully understood what was involved. We were given a written estimate lowest cost to a possible high. The surgery was scheduled within a few days and my dog was taken in as appointed. The surgery was done an we were called to give a status report and a pick up time was given. We arrived on time, picked up our dog,who looked remarkably well considering to seriousness of the surgery. We were given clear instructions on how to care for our dog and the charges were within the estimate...the low end. I have dealt with an other veterinary hospital in the past, a good one albeit, but Five Points was the better experience. Thank you to Dr Jane Keenan, my wonderful vet. You have never given me wrong advice. And a big thank you to Five points! Frodo is doing very well.

My name is Kristen and I am the practice manager at Five Points Veterinary Clinic. I will never speak specifically about a client or pet that has been to our practice, so I can only respond to a few points in this review.

I have positive experiences every time I go to five points!..not only have they treated me very nice, but my two babies (Puppies) get the red carpet treatment..The front desk women are amazingly friendly which is rare these days. I appreciate them all and of course My doctor! (Dr. Bell) He always takes his time to talk and really expresses a genuine concern for my pets. They also work out payment plans if you can't afford certain treatments..the manager is a sweet heart to me!! (Kristin)

We have been taking are dog here for about 4 years. The staff has always been very helpful. A good example, is while they were trying to help our dog avoid surgery, the wait got a little long for our 4 year old. So, one the folks at the desk gave him some crayons and paper to keep him occupied. This shows that they not only care about the animals, but also the owners. Down to the smallest one.

What a terrific clinic! Friendly staff, great doctors. When we had to put our cat down they could not have been kinder or more compassionate. I recommend them to anyone looking for veterinary service. They're open seven days a week and will do their best to accommodate your schedule. Wonderful people.

Took my 3 year old cat in perfect health confirmed by an examination from this vet on 7/15/2009 to be declawed at 8:00 am on 7/24/2009 and was informed that it died on the operating table at 11:45pm during this routine procedure. We lost a loved family pet which brought extreme pain and sorrow to my family. TAKE CAUTION

We have tried to work with this clinic but for the most part they seem to care about the dollar more than the animal. We are not new to animal care (we care for more that 12 animal friends) and after now using this clinic for several occurrences find them to be below average in what we feel veterinary care and service should be. The vets can be personable but that is about the extent of it.

Two recent instances where specific dosage prescriptions (liquid) were bought and paid for, there was not enough medication to complete the regimen. When we tried to get enough medicine to ??finish? what we started, was prescribed and paid for, one of the vets (who never saw or examined the animal) told the staff we needed to continue the meds for another week. The only reason for this maneuver was so that they could charge us for another full bottle of medicine.

Personnel??s attitude gets to be curt and short when questioned, phone calls are not returned in a timely manner and in general very poor attitude and service.

We have no grudge with this vet but find them to be more concerned with the money than their clients and client??s owners.

The map shows the office as being past the shopping center. It's not, it's at the intersection of Rte 151 with Brodhead Road and Heights Road - hence the five points.

Very clean, very professional and caring. Great hours for working people - I take the kitties in at 6 or 7 in the evening. Long wait times then, though.

Last year about this time I had to take Chloe an 8 year old MUTT to 5-Points for an ACL replacement. I was stunned, first didnt know dogs had an ACL let alone that they could rip them. A dog that hates the Vet-has gone through 5 vets, and the last one red tagged her to drugged before entering the building. The Vet and staff at 5-point had NO problems with her and took great care of her. It has been a year and she is running, jumping and of course being her self. I had family members tell me and my husband to just put her down she is only a dog and it's to expensive. My husband's reply would you put one of us down.! e have no regrets!!! Today we have taken our registered black female lab to the vet because of limping and here we go again-ACL rip. I didn't have to think of where I was going to have the surgery done-it was just a matter of getting the phone number and setting the appointment. I am looking forward to next summer when both my girls "will be free to run in the wind"-thanks to the Vets and staff at 5-Points.

I have taken my 2 dogs and a litter of puppies here. Everyone from the vets to the assistants all care and take their time to listen and answer questions. They saved my older dog's life with a surgery to remove a stone the size of a penny blocking his ability to "go" - they worked with me on the price and cared for him like he was theirs. I love them! Very nice facility and great hours. I have already referred my mom and sister there and they really enjoyed their visit so did their dogs. Five Points Vet's prices are very reasonable too. Give them a try.

We have 3 dogs, which 2 have not always been on the best behavior. They would bark, mess the floor or spray and the vets and front would still smile, keeping me and my dogs calm and feeling welcomed.
They are very kind and work with us every time to get the dogs their shots or medicine.

They even helped us giving us ideas of Pittsburgh, since we are new here.

So many businesses close at 4 or 5pm it can be a nightmare for us working folks, but not these guys! Their normal hours are Mon - Fri 9am - 9pm, Sat 9am - 4pm & Sun 9am - 3pm! They also have addition EMERGENCY HOURS Mon - Fri till 11pm! They can do this because they have 6 full time Vets that are friendly, caring & informative. (as is their staff) Their prices are average, but they will work with you if you cannot pay right then.
