Powder Room/Beauty101

I have been going to Ani for the the past 10 years. I followed her and the staff when the Powder Room closed and they went to Salon Fusion less than 2 miles away.
They are now known as beauty101. The salon is breathtaking. Elegant and warm.
Obviously the person who wrote the immature review has never had their eyebrows done by Ani. She is truly an expert in her field. In fact anyone who knows her and the beauty101 team knows they are the BEST in the industry. I just went to Ani before she was getting married. Clients were stopping in just to wish her well and some even dropped off wedding gifts during my visit. The staff just found out that they won Top 5 Best places to get waxed by my fox philly. That says a lot considering there were over 40,000 voters.
I know the team also won Best of Philly for brow shaping a few years ago as well. It is clear to me there are many envious and desperate businesses that need to make unprofessional, uneducated and offensive remarks to help try to solicit clients. I tell everyone go aheadget your brows ruined somewhere elseAni and beauty101 will always be there to help fix them!

Best makeup ever my entire bridal party went to beauty 101 last month and they were amazing Ani did my makeup and my mom, I got my eyebrows done the week before and they looked GREAT I never realized that I could tint my sun bleached eyebrows and actually made them visible! Thank you so much Ani and beauty 101 you are truley the best.

i HAVE SEARCHED FOR SO LONG FOR ANI AND FOUND HER ON THIS SITE .i CANT WAIT TO CALL TOMORROW FOR A APPOINTMENT.I TRAVEL FROM ALTOONA AND OULD NOT LET ANYONE TOUCH MY EYE BROWS BUT HER.i AM HAPPY ONCE AGAIN

I went to Ashley at beauty101 in Newtown and she shaped my brows to perfection. She was lovely and down to earth and I plan to go back to purchase makeup and have a facial. They make the makeup right in front of you and it it is all natural. I am so happy to have found Ashley and beauty101

I have been going to Ani for the past year and when the Powder Room closed I freaked out. I will not let anyone touch my eyebrows. I found out where Ani and Beauty101 was and couldn't make an appointment fast enough. Ani has completely transformed my eyebrows from the overwaxed brows that I once had to full nicely shaped eyebrows. She has also done my makeup several times and I have never left disappointed. I highly recommend Beauty101. All of the staff is wonderful. I always look forward to seeing them! Always a pleasant experience.

I have been going to Ani for brows for the past seven years. After she waxes and trims them, they are shaped to perfection. I've been out of town since December and couldn't wait to get my brows done again. I went on a wild goose chase trying to track Ani down and would not settle for anyone else. She did my brows today at her new location and they are a work of art. She is a true expert in her profession.

the powder room CLOSED whatever they are now is not the powder room, beauty101 is 2 minutes away where you can find Ani and Danielle. call 215.355.7475 they have amazing specials and promotions right now!

I found out that the original Powder Room closed. and is now being operated by pushy hairdressers that took over the space which looks awful.The Powder Room original employees left when it closed and went up the street to a street road Feasterville location.They are in a beautiful salon. It is called Fusion. The Powder Room employees are now known as beauty101. Go to salon Fusion. You will find Danielle, Ani and the others. The salon is giving free first time blow drys to all clients of The Powder Room employees. I had my blow dry by Lana. She was amazing!!

Looked long & hard to find a serious business that takes beauty seriously. Danielle did my brows and I LOVE them. She also gave me free samples that she recommend for my skin. She really cared about helping me with my skincare concerns which I am extremely self conscious.Truly professional. Highly recommend!!!

Needless to say I drove up to this Northeast location after reading about it's costume blending in the newspaper. I had just finished my hard labors work and was in my work garb, the place wasn't busy and I politely excused my appearance and asked about what I had read. I got nothing but blank looks and no one was willing to even ask further about my question as I humbly apologized for the inconvenience one of them noticed my designer handbag and nudged the other one and I noticed she noticed too but still hurt I left the salon in the pouring rain and got into my little shack of a car in tears because I was embarrassed. Well one of the employers had followed me and as she was soaked as to please come into the salon so they can assist me and even went as far as offering me a complimentary make over (which I just read they don't give makeovers) I was so in dignified I politely told her no and left. I have read many good things about this place unfortunately I will never step through those doors to even bother with such unprofessional place that judges people more on appearance, and what designer object they have

This review is actually a year late, but nonetheless-I could not have been happier with my experience at this spa and they deserve the praise! I don't really consider myself a novice spa-goer nor a pro. I have seen enough to know that The Powder Room knows what they are doing and it is my favorite! First, you will have to look beyond the strip mall location- but trust me, once you enter those large wooden green spa doors, you will be transformed and your calm mood will be set in place. They have a great staff, fabulous decor, and seemed genuinely interested in providing great service. If you plan on a visit, I highly recommend my masseuse--Colleen. Absolutely, hands down, the best masseuse I or my sister whose treatment was after me have ever had. She used the exact right amount of pressure and technique and professionalism that can make any girl a regular spa-goer!! The spa itself is small with adjacent connecting much larger hair & nail salon & adjacent makeup stations. I felt very welcome and relaxed-not uncomfortable, no one was stuffy or snobby, which as a woman of color is very important to me. I was offered free product samples of skin-tone matching custom-blend foundation and I received a free eyebrow wax. The skin techs/professional make-up artists must know what they're doing because they were very busy the day that I was there --a Saturday. My guess is that most girls were getting their makeup done for either a wedding or prom night. One skin tech named Stephanie had absolutely flawless make-up on. My aunt came with me and received a spa pedicure which she enjoyed very much in a private area sectioned off with elegant drapery and copper sink basins. We were also offered cookies and drinks. Can't wait to go again! Pros: Best massage ever!! Charming French-style ambiance/decor

Thinking that this was a real spa we went here and what a dissapointment. It is just a hair salon with 3 small rooms in the back after you walk through their makeup section. I found the massage just terrible and the pedicure was as bad. There was no parking, as it sits in a tiny strip mall in the northeast. The sales pressure to buy makeup was very annoying.

This small but extremely unique place was stumbled on by accident. The Powder Room makes you feel like you traveled to France. I had a Yonka facial....which was the best facial I ever had.....the employees go over and beyond to make you feel like a celebrity. They also carry alot of unique products that I never saw before. They make their own makeup. I had a lipstick made....and named it after myself!!! I truly beleive this place is a Philadelphia best kept secret...from their talented employees, the decor, and unique product mix......the only thing missing is the red carpet!
