Luxury at a great price!!  5 Star Rating - World class

I've been to spas from here to California. I found the staff friendly, the ambiance absolutly beautiful, and the prices the same as I would pay at a hole in the wall, not a large spa such as this! I understand it may be too much for some people, but for people such as myself that are use to being pampered, and have visited many upscale establishments, I found this place to be a hidden gem, and a wonderful find!

Lovely Spa Experience  5 Star Rating - World class

This is a wonderful place -- looks small from the road but boasts several venues inside for pampering of all kinds! Massage, relaxation, body and nail care, all of this and more in a beautiful setting. Be sure to visit the attached gift shop!

Nothing Special Spa 3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

I went to get micro-dermabrasion. Inside the spa is very nice and clean, but I did not feel like any of the girls at the front desk really wanted to be there. They seemed to be putting in a lot of effort to be friendly. The women who did my treatment was friendly, but did a very average job. My treatment for $125 was supposedly 30 minutes but mine only lasted 15. I was also a little disappointed that they could not supply me with a small sample of the $70 moisturizer they VERY much wanted me to buy.

Ho-hum experience 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I went with a girlfriend to do a ladies night out at Tranquil Waters and the experience was mediocre at best.

Even though they advertised "girls night out" as an evening event with hors d'ouevres and pedicures, the girls who did our nails were bitter and bored and wanted to get out of the place as soon as they could. We got there at 6pm and the hors d'ouevres (stale crackers and cheap cheese and old grapes) were almost all gone. While the interior was quite relaxing and attractive, the bikini wax I received as part of my supplemental service was not very thorough, and my friend had a similar experience with her eyebrow wax (a half-hearted job that left lots of stragglers).

The pedicures and manicures were fine but nothing extraordinary, and what took away from the experience - which should have been relaxing - was to be subject to the pedicurists' grumblings about how long they'd had to work and how they couldn't wait to go home. Then they had the audacity to say that they didn't provide manicures/pedicures in the way of "those Asian places" with as much disdain as they could.

Quite frankly I've had better manicures/pedicures at those "Asian places" and for less than this place charges.

If you're looking for a nice spa in the are, stick with Elayne White, Elizabeth Arden or Facing Thayer - all of which are beautiful, clean, relaxing and with less 'tude and cultural prejudice.

Pros: Nice decor, ample parking
Cons: Sub-standard services for the money, surly staff

High end all the way!! 5 Star Rating - World class

I had to laugh when I read the review from the previous lu lu! Apparently she doesn't get out much! I wouldn't call Kirk's Folley Jewlery and hand made Bags Trinkets! I've purchased many wonderful gifts at the boutique at Tranquil Waters, including a really nice Juicy Couture Sweat suit for my niece. This girl should stay at WALMART, or where ever else she shops! I also have my massages and hair services done at Tranquil Waters, and have brought my friends there when they are in town from Bermuda. We all agree, it's the most exquisite Spa we've ever found in this area. The place is beautiful, The staff there is helpful, not high pressure, and although the menu is limited, the food is always good. I think this chick must have a bone to pick with somebody there, Maybe they refused to hire her or something, because I don;t believe a word of her review.

Pros: Very relaxing atmosphere
Cons: Can't always get a quick appointment, seems very busy

Not what it claims to be 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

With all the advertising this place does I was really intrigued to check it out. Its pretty safe to say I wont be going back to Tranquil Waters anytime soon my experience was nothing spectacular. When I first called to make the appointment I was put on hold for 3 minutes then after booking a massage was told to arrive a few minutes before to fill out some paperwork. I arrived 15 early and filled out the papers, then was told to browse the boutique. The "boutique" was nothing more than a collection of tacky trinkets and overpriced jewlery. When it was time for my massage I was led into a dark , VERY cold room. As I looked around I noticed that the floor was scattered with the remains of what looked like sand and salt scrub, yuck. The massage itself was average for the $85 charge. As I was leaving i noticed that it was a really large spa but there didnt seem to be anyone else there in the late afternoon. I had read about the cafe and wanted to have a little tasting after my massage but was abrubtly told that it was closed for the day. When I went to pay for the massage I felt like I was being pressured into booking another appointment by the woman at the desk, I did not make another appointment because I wont be going back anytime soon. Overall I was not impressed with the spa, it was anything but tranquil.

Pros: soothing dark treatment rooms
Cons: Doesnt offer everything it advertises

UNBELEIVABLE PAMPERING EXPERIENCE!! BEST IN THE EAST 5 Star Rating - World class

You will not find anything else this upscale on the east coast. From the moment I stepped foot through the door, I felt like I had entered the most luxurious, beautifully decorated and serene place I have ever been to.
The cascading waterfalls, the lighting, music, everything is just first class all the way! I had the best facial here that I have had anywhere else in the country, and I travel frequently. I had the hot stone massage in the Southwestern decorated room, and they put me in what they call the Alpha capsule first. It was a dry heat that really relaxed my muscles before the massage. I now spend every day that I'm in town there, either having my hair done, may manicure, or just having lunch in the cafe'. I definitly feel comfortable here, and not like I'm invading on a salon or spa designed just for women. Definitly a MUST SEE AND EXPERIENCE!

Pros: Lots of parking, handicap acces, wonderful ambiance, great food!
Cons: I can't move in!
