Whenever I go back east and visit family in Pittsburgh, we make it a point to visit Station Square. Located across the river from the downtown, years ago this place was used as a hub for the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad. Now it's, what else.... a shopping complex. It has about 20 restaurants (including the Hard Rock Cafe) and lots of little boutique type shops for those Pittsburgh souvenirs (maybe some Steelers stuff?). The Grand Concourse is located in what was the terminal building. It has a decor that is a combination of mahogany, brass, and marble, with an awe-inspiring stained glass cathedral ceiling. Beautiful!
