Loudoun Music Instruction is committed to helping students develop as musicians and people. The company mission is to develop a firm grip of the fundamentals of music by whatever method works best for the student. As soon as they are ready they are playing with other kids. This develops their social and music skills. Recitals and music events, where the children get to play in their assigned bands, are plentiful throughout the year so the kids get a very real musical experience. As the owner and teacher I am committed fully to every child I teach and take them as far as I can.

Frank is a phenomenal music teacher. He is passionate about what he does, he clearly loves music and teaching it. He obviously enjoys every lesson, I don't know who has more fun, me or him. He explains the lesson clearly and simply and then we do it.
Frank is encouraging, upbeat and positive, he really believes in his students and their abilities and he gets them to believe in themselves--I went to several recitals before beginning lessons, and it's amazing what his students accomplish.
He's a true gem. I can't imagine a better music teacher.

Frank Keim clearly loves music. He loves making it, talking about it, and most important he loves teaching it. We have the good fortune of our son being one of his students. He learned more in a few months with Frank than he did in an entire year with a previous teacher. Why is that? Well, Frank is very grounded in music both modern and contemporary and easily crosses back and forth, he sets high expectations for them but gives them the freedom to spread their wings and let their talents shine, he gets them to play in ensembles and bands showing them the nuances of timing, recording, and glimpses into the world of music as a career if they so choose, and finally he simply jazzes them up with his enthusiasm. We are constantly in awe of Frank's energy and commitment.

I met Frank Keim and his family in January of 2007 after I had found Loudoun Music Instructions website on the internet. My entire life I had wanted to learn the acoustic guitar and Frank has given me the tools and the drive to do so. Often times I will arrive a little early for my lesson and Frank will be finishing up with one of his many students. It's truly amazing to watch him with these adults and children of all ages, including his own. He is hands down, born to do this and I have never seen a person love their job more. Isn't that what it's all about? Well that, and his passion for music is undeniable. He is a true talent, but also a master craftsman and 110% dedicated to his students. He has earned his business by his hard work and positive, upbeat attitude. Frank is one of the most amazing people I have ever met and if the day comes where I am somehow lucky enough to have an opportunity to meet Tom Pettywell Im giving that spot up to my friend Frank. I know that it would mean the world to him and those are the kind of things you think about after having fun and jamming at the Keims house.

We have two children taking piano lessons with Mr. Keim and they love it! They are genuinely enthused about going to their lessons each week. They told us that, "Mr. Keim is really nice and funny." Mr. Keim has an excellent rapport with children and a very unique teaching style that peaks the interest of young learners. He has a solid knowledge of music and is an incredibly gifted musician. Mr. Keim has been a real blessing to our children.

Frank Keim is my musical idol. I have been taking guitar lessons from him for almost a year now and hope to continue taking lessons for a long time. He is a great guy who is just an overgrown kid. His endless energy makes everyone around him happy and cheerful. I have learned so much from him and have a great laugh every time I walk into his house. Frank is probably the most talented musician I have ever met (and will ever meet). He plays Guitar, Bass, Drums, and Piano. Not to mention he has an incredible singing voice. Since he teaches all of the above, he gets some of his students together in bands, helping us with valuable skills like playing music in groups and making new friends. I will always respect and look up to him, an all-around great person!

I have three sons - each learning a different instrument at Loudoun Music Instruction. Though they are fairly new, they love going to music lessons. Not only are they taught by a phenomenal instructor who has the patience of a saint, but they learn the importance of discipline, committment and gain great confidence in the process. In the words of my 7 year old - "I love music and I never want to stop going to lessons with Mr. Frank."

Both of my children take music lessons at Loudoun Music Instruction. My daughter, the piano and my son, the drums. Both look forward to going to lessons every week and continue to grow musically with each lesson. I couldn't be any happier with the care and instruction that they receive. Frank is a true blessing for Loudoun County and for our children.

Our son started lessons at LMI two years ago this summer. He was bored with school guitar and wanted more. LMI was recommended by a friend at school. He started with weekly lesson during the summer. Every week he was given "homework" to work on until the next session. He could not wait to go back each week. He continued taking lessons after school started and has been there ever since. It has quite frankly been a life changing experience for him. He now wants to major in music . Frank Keim has been the reason for his enthusiasm about music. Frank is the kind of teacher that can not only be his student's mentor, but also their friend. His excitement about their progress just makes them want to excel more. When our son practices during the week and has a question, he Emails Frank and there is always a response explaining the question and then he challenges him to push to the next level. He motivates his students to want to do their best and what they end up doing is excelling their own expectations. His influence on the kids he teaches goes beyond music education. He touches their lives and developes their character in a way we never expected from a music teacher.

My 8 year old son has been taking piano lessons from Frank for a little over a year now. We have seen an incredible talent emerge that we never knew was there, all due to Frank's inspirations and encouragement. His passion for music is seen clearly by all those who come to his studio. Frank Keim, owner and teacher at Loudoun Music Instruction, is not stuck in the dark ages. As a piano teacher myself, I was drawn to his studio when looking for a drum instructor for my son. At first I was impressed by his obvious business acumen and professional website. But I have even more respect for him since I have seen him teach. Frank catapults his students to modern times by allowing them to work in current styles. So many private music teachers are in bondage to a set curriculum or antiquated standards by dead people, but Frank seems to flex with the student's musical interests and find learning opportunities wherever they present themselves. He has a dynamic, spontaneous mind that keeps things moving in the lessons. He is also has the contagious energy and extraordinary patience that kids need in a teacher! Way to go Frank!

Mr. Frank Keim is an irreplaceable teacher!! Other than giving kids a 30-minutes lesson every week, he benefits them in their self-esteem and confidence. Ive been a student of his for 2 years. Originally I had signed up for drum lessons. But in those 2 years he has encouraged me and now Ive progressed to drums, singing, and now bass guitar. Hes patient, he understands music and knows what hes doing, and is well-known, well-respected, and idolized by his students and his community. There is no one like him, and Im sure Ill continue learning from him for many years to come.

Mr. Keim does a super job of relating to his students (such as our middle school daughter) where they are and provides super instruction to his students, developing them at a pace set by their interest and dedication level. His recitals are a pleasure for students, parents and loved ones. LMI is truly a gem in western Loudoun county and a blessing to us in the Lovettsville area!

Frank Keim is an absolutely phenomenal music teacher. His enthusiasm and energy never seem to lose momentum. He guides his students to achieve goals they never dreamed possible. Our son started taking drum lessons from him over 2 years ago and very quickly was able to join one of LMIs bands and add singing to that skill something he never
thought he would be able to do and hes now adding lessons in bass guitar. Franks passion for his work and ability to connect with his students have made him a star in their eyes. Its not just a 30-minute music lesson his efforts go way above and beyond that. We always recommend him to anyone who is looking for a professional music instruction.

I am a senior in high school and have been taking lessons from Frank Keim since the summer leading up to my Junior year. Take it from me, Frank is an extraordinary teacher with a great passion for music, and an incredible knack for teaching it. He manages to relate to you, joke around, and make lessons fun while still commanding your respect and getting the lesson across successfully. He teaches music theory in a way that is very easy to understand, and then applies it to music that YOU like to listen to and play. He does not only show you the theory, but how to USE IT in the genre of you interest. He teaches and gives great advice on music supplies, equipment, different music groups, and life, and is always great to just talk music with. I have grown so much since taking lessons from Frank and I advise anyone who is serious about getting involved in music to do the same.

Mr. Keim is an outstanding music instructor. He understands how to lead children through the process of music and incorporates a program approach to his teaching style. I have two children in his program and Mr. Keim's enthusiasm and respect for music and his students spills over in to their every day life. Since starting with LMI, my kids have become more interested in other activities at school. My kids look forward to thier lesson every week. In fact, a snow day used to be cool...now, if it falls on LMI day, is a drag!

Currently my son, one of my daughters, and my husband are taking music lessons from Frank. His teaching style and passion for music is one of a kind. He does not just teach his students how to play music from a lesson book, but how to feel the music, how to play along with another person, how to read and write music, etc. He does it all with an enthusiasm and encouragement, while challenging them to reach for the stars. Truly incredible says the whole Driscoll Family!!!

I have been taking guitar lessons from Frank for over a year now and am extremely satisfied with my progress. His passion for music is infectious. As an adult student I appreciate his laid back teaching style, fun lessons and patience. I can't wait until my children start taking lessons from him. I highly recommend Loudoun Music Instruction!

My 12 year old son has been taking drum lessons from Frank for over two years now, and we've noticed the incredible strides he has made as a result of Frank's expertise and passion. He knows how to get on the kids' level without losing self respect. We highly recommend him to all our friends who are looking for professional quality music training and a personal touch all rolled into one!
