My daughter and 2 friends and I came from 2 hours away to shop at Gurnee Mills. We went into your store on 8/11/09 between 11:15-11:45am. Celia, Salesperson 42, came over while we were picking up folded clothes to find the right size to try on. Celia pulled the clothes right out of my friend's hand! We couldn't believe it! Celia said "That's my job!" and wouldn't even let her touch the clothes. No, that's the customer's job to look at and touch the clothes we are interested in buying. Celia then proceeded to follow us around like a vulture. It was very uncomfortable, she made us feel as if we were doing something wrong by wanting to buy from your store! She watched us like a hawk and any time we stopped at a display she desended on us like a vulture and wouldn't let us alone to look at the clothes and touch the clothes. Then, when we went to check out (I can't believe that after all that, I actually blessed your company with buying a $33 brown denim jacket), my other friend who had been waiting for almost 15 min. to check out without anyone coming to the register, Celia lied to my other friend as to where the manager was. When my friend confronted and asked her to go get the manager, Celia was very rude and unwilling. The manager did come out and she was very apologetic, and said that Celia would be talked to. I just hope that was followed through with. We have never been treated so rudely EVER, and also lied to! Celia never apologized for her behavior and only made lame excuses. Celia tried to get me to agree to the justification of her rude behaviour. I didn't agree with her and told her she should have told us the truth. Her response was this, and I quote "WHATEVER!" Fire her! She does not have the right to be paid to treat your potential customers that way. It is a priviledge to work especially in the economy we currently live in - one which she doesn't deserve.

On top of all of that, the brown denim jacket that I bought has a nasty smell to it! I was so taken back and distracted by our treatment at your store that I didn't even notice it. Had I not been so distracted by the rudeness, I would not have bought the jacket. I honestly don't know if it is the denim, or the dye, or what that smells so bad. I have tried to wash the smell out 3 times, but to no avail. Unfortunately, I have grown to really like the jacket, but will now have to find a store near Fond du Lac, WI to return it to and hope that you have a nice smelling one to exchange it for. The denim jacket is #644583. Maybe you should check your inventory.

I think you owe the 4 of us something FREE to make up for this totally unacceptable treatment (and I don't mean a coupon that we first have to spend $50 or $100 to get $10 free which is what the manager gave us and I didn't realize it until I got home).
