My wife and I went on this cruise as part of a convention I was attending. The food was excellent and the views of the harbor inspiring. A great way to spend an evening in Boston.

My husband and I went on a dinner cruise on the Spirit of Boston.
The boat cruises Boston Harbor. The meal was very good and the staff friendly,I was even invited to see the Captain's bridge. It was a very enjoyable evening.

What a GREAT time!

True, sometimes reservation department experiences can be bad; however if you had cruised, you would have loved it! We had the opposite experience because we planned a small gathering for my Anniversary, so we dealt with group sales and it was a seamless experience. And we had such a great time! The meal was a combination of a served meal (salad and dessert courses were served to you, along with drinks) and a buffet. The food was simple, but very, very good. The entertainment - I was told there was a "small performance" and it turned out to be quite a few songs sung by very talented young performers during dinner - very entertaining! Then, the DJ came on and played favorites from the likes of Bon Jovi to the Commodores - something for everyone. We danced the night away and took breaks to go outside and enjoy the beautiful night views of the city.
This was so much fun; I can't wait to go again!!
Pros: Everything, really!
Cons: More time for dancing to the DJ would have been nice.

Abysmal customer service

I had to call the Reservation Desk on a few occasions and to be perfectly honest each time I got off the phone feeling like my IQ had singlehandedly been lowered 10 points. For a corporation that would seem to cater to businesses and higher end clientele, I was surprised that they would have representatives who didn't seem to know what was going on...at all. In the end, I called the day before the cruise to confirm that the boat was still going out. The person I spoke with game me an unequivocal "yes!"...and then we arrived at the pier the next day to find that the cruise had been canceled because they hadn't sold enough tickets.
Speaking with the supervisors also left something to be desired (they told us we could take *another* cruise with *complimentary* tickets, even though we hadn't taken the cruise in the first place and they had already charged us for the tickets)
We opted to get a refund rather than rescheduling.
I have a lot of patience, but these people wore me thin.
Pros: may have been nice if we had taken the cruise
Cons: service
