The PMOA is enormous. If you go in here without a map, you're going to be asking people for directions. You'll be asking directions even if you HAVE map.

Nonetheless, the museum has numerous branches, so there's something for everyone to view when you go here.

Plus, come out the West entrance, and you can do your best Rocky impersonation.

Be sure to visit if you ever come to the city of brotherly love.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is one of the best museums in the world. They have a great collection of paintings, sculptures and artifacts. You can easily spend an entire day in the museum. They also have exhibitions from time to time. I visited the Manet collection a year or so ago and they just had the Dali works recently. They also have a beautiful indian temple that they brought over from india. Its an entire structure inside the museum. Sundays are usually free entrance so go on get immersed in the wonderful world of the museum.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is a wonderful to visit, as well as to bring your visitors to. The have a wide variety of artwork, and on Fridays they play live jazz in the museum atrium where you can eat and drink. You can expect to do alot of walking while you are there as the museum is quite large, and don't forget to climb up the famous steps as filmed in "Rocky". The food in the museum is not bad, but there are also a lot of cute cafes and restaurants within walking distance of the museum.

i went to the Dali exhibit last year. there were many rooms of his art. the staff provided you with headphones to hear narrated poems and inspired art by Dali. it was a very unique experience. they have many exhibit rooms and call often to see what is available to see. the structure of the building alone is a piece of art. they have a gift shop that will feature itmes from the featured exhibit. parking can be a problem. try public transportation. it drops you off only a couple blocks away.besides the steps in front are the ones Rocky ran up!
