I had them to my home in October 2010. The pressure put on by the technician to do the work was laughable and pathetic. Telling me my house would burn down if I didn't pour $5600 into relining it. Then he wanted another $3200 for the furnace lining, or we would die from CO2. Makes ou wonder how humans have lived so long without steel liners, huh? Then I get at least 3 calls a week asking when I want the work done. Finally I told them to leave us alone, but the calls keep coming.
The chimney industry, like most construction type industries is competetive. It is very hard to please someone when they are not on the roof to see what you have done. It's not like they built you a new deck, or painted your house. All these wonderful reviews are very easy to post for anyone. If you really believe that 109 people sat down at their computer after spending thousands of dollars to write how this company walks on water, I got a bridge for sale. This is common practice for board secretaries to sit and make up names and post great reviews for the company they work for in order to boost business. Use your own common sense and read between the lines. Every other company has between 4 and 8 reviews. That's about right. This is blatant misuse of the review system, and my question as a consumer is "what do they have to hide?" If you read the reviews they posted on yahoo, you can click on the name of the reviewer and see the same name posted 25 good reviews for this one company. Come on, now.
"The professionals were just that - professional. They called and gave an accurate estimate of when they would arrive. They were careful to keep my home clean and tidy as they entered the home, worked inside, and when they left. I felt they were honest about the repairs that needed to be completed and appreciated the explanation of what needed to be repaired and why."
Called ahead and came in time frame scheduled. Quick service and very clean. Good sales talk - informative and not pushy.
The cost of some items seem high but they come with a lifetime warranty.
My overall experience from a service perspective would be rated as"Very Satisfied". From the scheduling, the pre-call, the confirmation call, the visit, the service, and the follow-up, I was kept informed and had the entire process explained to me. The final price was a bit more than I expected, but other than that it was all good.
Derrick and his partner were very prompt, knowledgable, and courteous. After our routine cleaning, they provided pictures of the chimney before and after - as well as identified how to make our chimney last longer.
great service friendly employees
Great tech and Great service.
The service and care that we received from Superior Chimney Services was superb. I felt safe in my home with the techs around. They explained everything they were doing with picture documentation of the inside and outside of the chimney. The price to make my chimney fire safe was laid out in a way that I could see what I was paying for, not just one lump sum. Thank you!
they were very informative and professional, honest and resonable prices...we were very happy with their service. And great photos of everything
Did everything they said they would
On a very cold spring day the servicemen from Superior arrived promptly evaluated the job and got to work taking the old vines off our chimney. They were courteous, friendly and professional.
they explained every step and took photos of the work needed on the chimney.
My family and I have been coming here for years. They've always treated us right here. I couldn't be happier with their work. Thanks for the years of wonderful service.
Superior Chimney was the WORST company our Association has ever attempted to do business with. They were called for a FREE estimate and upon arrival, sticked with 2, 6, 12, 34, 32 and 40 foot ladders, they would ONLY use their 6 foot ladder to try and gain access to our roof from a third floor balcony. All they needed was a 12 footer but they tried to CHARGE us a $85 fee to use their ladder!
What a joke! There are a lot of companies out there who will actually give you a FREE estimate, and NEVER charge you to get on your roof. They are a chimney company, right!? Don't they know they need roof asccess? HAHAHA.
Avoid a lot of wasted time and effort and go to another company that will treat like they deserve your business.

At my home 30 minutes, racksd up $1230 in charges without even telling me. I never authorized them to do anything but inspect.
Cons: over charged, poor work
