I'm a student at Loyola University and went to A Better Tan because I wasn't happy with the tanning salon near campus. I am so happy I switched. A Better Tan has the best staff, so friendly and helpful, and are much more talkative than any staff members I've dealt with at tanning salons. The staff is very well informed about the different beds and makes sure to tell you the UV B to UV A ratio (burning rays versus tanning rays). The prices of lotion and accessories are more than reasonable, and they often run really great special prices! The pricing for packages is also the best I have ever gotten. You can do points, buy monthly or weekly packages, commit to a contract, or not. The whole process is really flexible which is nice! I got tan after one tan, and haven't been burned yet. A Better Tan is definitely a tanning salon that I would (And have!) recommended to anyone looking for getting some color at a reasonable price and interacting with friendly staff!
I get a great tan from their beds. It is on my way home from work and they keep my lotion in storage for me. The place is nice and clean and the staff is helpful.

This salon is always clean and the staff is fun. The tanning beds that are the most popular give me a really great tan, I understand why they are called A Better Tan. The tanning lotion selection is good and the staff is knowledgeable. I like the fact that the location is convienent and there is enough equipment I don't have to wait. The salon is also locally owned and that to me is a big plus, you can keep your loyalties within your community.
Pros: Spa like atmosphere, personal attention
Cons: only 1 towel in the room
