This place is amazing. And walkable with little ones too! They have such a beatiful layout to the zoo. Very people friendly too. Great food court, prices aren't too bad,. You can pick a picnic lunch too if you like. Their animal displays really let you get up close and personal with the animals. Prices aren't bad at all. You can also by a membership there and save on other zoos around the country as well. Some free, some discounted admissions. Not a bad deal at all! They also have an outdoor bird display which the kids seem to like a lot. And the african exhibit is wonderful. You get to see lions, elephants, rhino's and giraffe's so close!

Please give it a try! You really won't be disappointed and I'll bet you'll be making a return trip in the future!

Our zoo is great. We have been members for 6 years, and will continue to be. There are a lot of animals to see, great restaraunts, and it's a very clean zoo. It is very pretty in winter for the light before christmas. The gardens at the zoo are a great place to take photos of your children and to enjoy some beautifal flowers. The parking is okay. If you come late you could be walking a long long long way just to get to the ticket gate.

I have been to several zoos and this is by far one of the nicest ones! One of my favorite places here is the Hippo aquarium! You can see the hippos dancing underwater, I actually spent about an hour there with my husband! They have beautiful architecture, too. They have tons of animals including Koalas and a really neat fish aquarium. I love this zoo and I can't wait to visit it again!

I have to admit that when it comes to visiting places for family entertainment I do factor in cost. One of my favorite points about the Toledo Zoo is that if you live in Toledo you are admitted for free on Monday between 10:00 and noon.

I am always up for a visit to the zoo on a Monday, and this zoo has so much to offer you could go at least every month and still not be bored. They are constantly renovating and updating the zoo facilities.

Most recently they established an Africa! exhibit. It is very neat, and was put together very well. They have a train ride that goes around the entire exhibit, a carousel designed out of african animals, and themed culture events.

Another wonderful attraction is the polar bear exhibit. You can really get up close and personal with these guys!

The zoo outreaches to the community in amazing ways as well. They have school programs for all ages as well as programs for homeschoolers.

We look forward to the new and exciting featured exhibits throughout the year. They even did a tremendous job with advertising with their newest exhibit entitled Dragons.

Every type of animal with the word dragon in it was included, and then ended with the Komodo Dragon. They really go out of their way with these limited time exhibits. An entire part of a museum was turned into an underground cauldron with fire, and tunnels. Was almost a little spooky when we first walked through it.

I would recommend the Toledo Zoo even to out-of-town visitors that would need to throw down some cash, but for us locals the zoo is the place to be on a Monday morning.

This world-renowned zoo is home to the world's first Hippoquarium, an underwater viewing area wherein patrons can watch the daily activity of a hippopotamus family. In addition to having more than 4000 animals and 600 species, the zoo has a new exhibit of polar bears. This is a high-quality educational experience with plenty of fun for the whole family. Call to find out information about hosting after-hours events here in the Aquarium, Arctic Encounter or conference center.
