Fairfax Corner Shopping Center

I made the 30 minute trip to check out this shopping center and was surprising disappointed. I like the layout of the area, however the variety of stores is a bit lacking. The parking areas were absolutely jammed so we ended up walking the entire area just to see what all shopping was available.

Overall, for us, it wasn't worth the trip.

Now that the grand opening is over, they don't have any giveaways or promotions. Already, some of the businesses are closing such as Organized Living. Most of the shops are overpriced and are not very usefull. The prices of the food at the movie theatre are outrageous. There is no real need to go to this shopping center.

PROS: Fun to go to once
CONS: Overpriced

This new Shopping Center is constructed with the modern open area style. The stores are scattered in several strips in an open area. If you look at the store directory (map), it seems that there are ample parking spaces. However, this shopping center is usually packed, and it is extremely difficult to find a parking space. Most of the establishments here are restaurants. There are a few retail stores, but not as many as I would expect a shopping center to have. Surprisingly, there are a large number of doctors' and dentists' offices. Pretty much everything in this shopping center is high-scaled. There is a deluxe movie theatre, and a fine dining restaurant that will cost over $100 for 2 people. There are still open spaces, and I hope more retail stores will move in. Right now, there are just not enough stores to make my trip worthwhile.

PROS: Great restaurants, unique boutique stores.
CONS: Not enough stores, difficult parking.
