Dr. Matthews was a life saver. My fiancee had had a bum knee for years. We didn't have the money for the surgery and Dr. Matthews let us know that we could sign up for financial aid. His assistant helped us step by step with getting signed up for it.

At first I thought this place was great. We were in Saratoga Springs during Thanksgiving from out of town. The whole family developed strep throat. We went in with three small boys. We were told at the time, we would only be charged for two boys as they were in essence just screening them for strep. We were billed initially for two boys and everything seemed fine. Nine months later we received a bill directly from IHC for payment on the third son. A call to the billing and insurance company seemed to work. A week later we received another bill...more calls made. A week after that we received a demand for payment from IHC threatening collections, more calls and still not resolved. Make no deals with them unless you get it in writing. The billing department is incompetent and unwilling to do any footwork for you.

If you have no insurance and are paying cash they tell you it is a $60.00 fee and then send you a bill for $129.00 the only thing they did was look in my ear!!!!!! 5 min. max!!!! I had to go in 2 different times just a week apart because I wasn't getting any relief. It wasn't until I went to a different Doctor I was able to feel better. There are Doctors that will give you a better price if you don't have insurance and you pay cash, simply because they don't have to deal with the insurance companys

This is conveniently located in a burgeoning area. I have been here a couple of times with no real complaints. Dr. Christensen is great and attentive. However in the instacare there is one dr there that really lacks any bedside manner. I had to take my daughter in for a huge open wound she'd received. She was very upset and cried a lot and loudly. He kept chastising her and one nurse actually got mad when she flinched. In the end their unwillingness to take their time and explain to a child what was going on resulted in a sloppy stitch job. Her regular pediatrician said they should have done more close stitching and now she has a very large ugly scar from it. Next time I will make the trip to the ER.

This facility has moved to 354 W State Road 73, Saratoga Springs, UT 84045 and now has more equipment, a family practice, and an instacare facility. One caution, the speed bump is brutal; I would hate to be in the ambulance that goes over it with any kind of wound.

My child woke up with some odd bruising, fearing some kind of internal bleeding I rushed to the saratoga instacare where after an examination by one of their Doctors, I asked what it could be. With a stink-eye in my direction he said this looks like abuse, I said we do not touch our child in that way what else could it be? The Doctor. said "only blunt trauma could create that kind of bruising." I immediately made the drive to SLC to see our normal pediatrician, a long story short my child has been diagnosed with Leukemia and is fighting for life. I understand doctors need to look out for abuse and stomp it out wherever it surfaces but don't you think that they should also be aware of the symptoms of deadly cancers that if ignored could take a life? I am still waiting for an apology letter from that Doctor. - I will never return as long as he is there!

When I took my 2 year old son to get his eyelid restitched (ER did a continual stitch and the knot wiped off) they were so wonderful with him. They kept him entertained with books, stuffed animal treats and so on why he had to wait 30 min for the anesthetic. The doctor was so nice and sang to my son while stitching him. He healed wonderfully with minimal scarring.
I now also use the family practice and love it.

I've been to this Instacare a couple of times because my husband and I just moved to the area and haven't established a family doctor yet. Well, the first time I went, I was pregnant and kept waking up with my heart racing. I went to see the doctor there and paid $25 to find out that they didn't have the equipment there to monitor me, so that was money thrown out the door. Then, a couple of weeks ago, I went in with the flu. (My baby's pediatrician told me to go in right away if I got it, so I could be treated and lessen my chance of passing it to the baby.) And the doctor there informed me that they didn't have the flu tests at their facility, so he could write me a prescription but without a positive flu test, my insurance would probably not pay for it. Great! Another copay thrown out the door!

In short, the doctors seem very capable and are very nice but they need to have a more equipped facility.

PROS: Friendly staff. Smart doctors.
CONS: Under-equipped.

Recently we had to go to the Saratoga Springs Instacare but the pediatrician's office we usually go to was closed because it was a holiday. Our daughter had a high fever and was complaining of pain. We didn't want to pay the high costs of taking her to the emergency room so we went to the nearby IHC instacare. They were scheduled to close just 15 minutes from the time we arrived, but instead of hurrying us through they took the time to make sure they knew exactly what was wrong with our daughter. They were courteous and professional and printed out coloring pages for my daughter while we waited for test results. When they were done they gave us free samples of the prescription my daughter would need because the nearby pharmacy was closed. My husband and I thought we would end up paying a lot because it was a holiday but we didn't end up paying more than a normal office visit at our normal Dr.'s office. I highly recommend this instacare and its staff.

PROS: Open later times and on holidays and weekends; Caring, professional staff
CONS: None

This location is fairly new, and so it's not as crowded as other locations because it's not well known yet. The downfall is that it's smaller and there is usually only one doctor on duty at a time, so the wait can be long, but it is still not as long as it might be in other locations because there aren't as many people waiting. Another down side is their limited hours. They are only open until 8 pm Monday through Saturday and are not open at all on Sundays.
