After filing a complaint with the better business bureau about Calfo's, the owner confronted me at my work place and asked what my problem was. I informed him that my problem was that his company charged me for parts that were never installed on my car. He asked how much the part was that I was charged for and I informed him it was roughly $20. He said "you are upset about $20?". This company thinks that it is alright to steal small quantities of money from their customers. And if you call to confront them about this, they call you names and threaten you. DO NOT GO TO THIS MECHANIC.

Really bad customer service and I did not trust the owner. I wish that I would have looked them up on the better business bureau before taking my car there. It shows that they have a grade of F. I would not take my car back to Calfos.

TERRIBLE.... After having work done at Calfo's for an outrageous price (above what it would cost to have the dealer do the same exact work), I took my car to be looked at by another repair shop. They showed me that Calfo's glued on my old parts, when they charged me for brand new parts. When I called to inform the owner of this, the man on the phone called me a "fagot" and told me to be a man and come down to his shop in person. I was outraged. They charged me for parts that were never installed on my car. I work very hard for my money and do not understand this outright theft. Do not trust the positive reviews posted online about Calfo's. They all sound as if they were written by the people at Calfo's. Their website talks largely about how you should "trust" them. DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS.

I went in for an inspection and emissions test. I was told that "CAR NEEDS L. FRONT HEADLITE REPAIRED" and it had something to do with the electrical system because they tried replacing the bulb. I thanked them and told them I couldn't afford it because I was a college student and searching for an electrical short was too costly.

Well to make a long story short, I after fear of the cost to get it repaired I decided to try and change the bulb as the guy at Autozone suggested. To my surprise I just needed a new bulb.

I thought the reviews for this company were great and it was close to my house, but now I am thinking they are the ones who wrote their own reviews and I almost got hustled. DO NOT TRUST THEM, MAKE THEM SHOW YOU THE FAILED PARTS.

Rege (the main mechanic) is the BEST I've ever dealt with, hands down! And the rest of the crew is the same. Just an honest, blue collar Pittsburgh garage that won't screw you around. I've been using their services for almost two years now, from my SVT to my beater Buick. Just all around great people and GREAT service at a fair price! I can't endorse them enough.

The guys at Calfo's are unbelievable. I can relate to what everyone else has posted. I as well have a BMW and the work at Calfo's is second to none. Just as good as the $tealer with better service. I'm a Dr. and always feel I have to know everything. These guys will even take the time to show you what they did and explain why they did it if you ask. There is no charge to tell you what needs to be repaired either. The funny thing is, there is no way you can find anywhere in Pittsburgh which will give you better service or a cheaper price than these guys. They are the best and I recomend them to anyone and everyone.

My boyfriend's advisor at Pitt used to work at Calfo's before he went back to school and got his PHD. I have a BMW, and have had several repair places rip me off or quote me astronomical prices after I moved away from home and went to college (first in LA, later in Pittsburgh). Calfo's is the most honest place I've ever been, they don't overcharge you and they're incredibly skilled; they won't go hunting for problems you don't have and they tell you throughout the whole process what's going on. A tip for how you know they're dedicated to keeping your car running as long as possible - the cars in their lot are mostly 10 years or older! Only downside is they take a bit longer than a dealership would. I won't ever go anywhere else.

I had my car towed to Calfo's once because of it's proximity to my house, but have gone to them for every problem ever since. Rege is nice, patient, understanding and friendly. He's actually apologetic when work needs to be done. They are reliable, affordable and honest. I've also heard very good things about them from other independent people in Greenfield. I believe that Rege told me that his father started the business when Rege was six years old and you definitely feel the pride that they have in their business and their work. I'm only 33, but it's the best auto repair place I've ever been to and I certainly don't plan on going anywhere else!

When I was dating my husband he lived close to this service station. He needed some work done on his old car. The guys there were wonderful. You didn't feel like you were being taken over or pushed into getting things done that didn't need to be done. They were fair and honest and fixed the problem.

PROS: quality service
CONS:

I recently took my husband's car to Calfo's for various repairs needed. Rege is the best, he always
makes time to fit me in and gets the job done quickly. His pricing is very fair and he's very friendly.
