Monticello Hotel

The Monticello is one of Longview, Washington's most beautiful places, centrally located and featuring a large lit sign. Built by the town's local "lumber king" many decades ago, it is on the local register of historic places. We participated in a special reception held at the Monticello and were pleased by its old-school ambiance, with leather backed seats and cloth napkins.
Service and staff were okay; after getting unclear information over the telephone about the reception, we dropped by and found a front desk clerk unclear on specifics. The staff hired for the reception were friendly but two could be overheard complaining about personal issues. Overall, one of the best choices for events in Longview.
