best haircut ever/very relaxing facial
Rachel NEVER left during my facial. Instead, during the mask, I got an incredible neck/dcollet massage, w/ a firm but incredibly gentle touch. Although blackhead removal was not thorough enough (done with hands... I prefer the metal tool), my skin looked happy after my facial... not beat up.
Karly has skillz like edward scissorhands! Because of a short wait, she gave me a comp treatment. This woman works FAST and w/ GREAT results. Perhaps too fast for some, but she gave me exactly the cut/style I wanted. I'll definitely go back.
Cons: Downstairs feels cramped. Upstairs, the "rooms" are curtained off cubicles. The prices are higher, but I definitely got what I paid for. Splurge Basic Facial = 85; Haircut w/Blow Dry = 75.
PROS: fast, professional, no attitude
CONS: small space, a little pricey

loved it
I spent 2 hours here and loved it they are very nice and happy people. This is a place you want to come and feel relaxed and pampered oh yea they did a great job with me and they did my nails. I think its a big high priced but for what its worth I mean you do get treated very good here and they are friendly and kind even if they have to be for business reasons they were very welcoming here so come and see them.I will be back here.

Quality Service
I went to this place because a friend told me I could get my nails done at a good price. I was skeptical because it was on Newbury St. but I was surprised that my nails were done very well and at the same price as any other salon. Later I went back to experience a facial, and I really enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and provided a nice atmosphere.

Very Calming
From the second I walked in the door, I felt so welcomed. The staff was friendly and eager to help out. I came in on my lunch hour, so I was in quite a rush. They were able to give me a mini facial and a quick manicure and got me back to work on time. Although I had a limited amount of time, I felt ready to face the rest of my day, and I didn't have to spend a fortune on Newbury Street. I even went back to work looking better than when I left because of the free make-up application I received after my services. The entire salon is very clean and pleasing. It is up to date and trendy which adds to the great experience. I had the mini facial which is quicker but they also offer full facials as well. The mini facials are done at a counter but the full facials are within a private room. Both are great, it just depends on your time restraints.
Overall, it was a great experience. The staff was very friendly and I make a point to go in often! It's definately worth a try!!
PROS: Decent prices, talented and friendly staff, clean work stations, quick!

Re: Bad Customer Service
Regarding the posting that G Spa requires a $100 credit card deposit:
There must have been a misunderstanding regarding our cancellation policy. G Spa does not charge a deposit to book appointments. We do however, ask for a credit card number at the time of scheduling to secure appointments against our 24 hour cancellation policy.
We hope this helps to clear up any confusion. Please call us if you have any questions.

Bad Customer Service
Can't believe they are requiring a credit card deposit for 100.00 to make an appointment for all services. Bad policy will result in losing customers...

Blah...and dingy
I went for the pedicure with all the upgrades. It was fine, but nothing special. What really threw me about the place is that it's decorated with a lot of white, especially the pedicure area; but the white has become dirty and dingy....something I would never expect of a place like this. I was asked what I thought about my visit as I was leaving, but the woman who had given me the pedicure was two feet away, so there wasn't opportunity to really say anything (she was very nice, but for the $50 pedicure, I could have gotten a comparable pedicure plus a manicure from a cheapo place) . You're paying for name, location, atmosphere, but I'd like to see things cleaned up so I actually feel like I'm paying for those things and they're putting some of the money to upkeep.
Pros: friendly staff
Cons: dirty, dingy, overpriced

Overpriced, bad pedicure
I went in for the quickie pedicure and was really disappointed. I understood that the quickie service is more of a quick fix than a luxury pedicure, but come on. For the price, it was really a joke. I would have been better off going to a cheaper salon for their $20 pedi. I understand the concept Gspa is trying to go for, but it really just fails miserably.
Pros: Good location
Cons: value, pedicure

good pedicure for a fair price
I've just made my first visit to G Spa and was reasonably impressed...I got a pedicure with all the upgrades (leg massage, special callous buffing (NOT very effective!) and a cuticle trim. It wasn't the best pedicure I've ever had, but it was far from the worst. The atmosphere is very young, and it's a fairly communal space, so if you're not chatty, this might not be your best bet. The pedicurist I had was very professional and did a good job, although my polish started coming off within three days. My cuticles are much happier, though, and my feet are less painful to the eye in sandals than they were before.
Pros: reasonable prices
Cons: loud and a bit crowded
