I started going to Dr. Kindred after my previous OBGYN retired, much to my dismay. His office is beautiful, and one would THINK a man with nine kids would be a bit more attentive and caring towards a pregnant woman than your average brick wall, but you'd be wrong. After complaining of constant pain that was interfering majorly with simple daily tasks for 20 weeks of my second pregnancy, all of which went wholly ignored by Dr. Kindred (his exact words were "you're pregnant, sometimes that hurts") I went to my standard GENERAL PRACTICE doctor who listened to me describe my pain for all of five minutes before he told me I have Symphysis pubis dysfunction, which happens to be a condition full of debilitating pain that can last for YEARS after giving birth. I passed this diagnostic on to Dr. Kindred who actually LAUGHED at it and told me I MIGHT have a TOUCH of it, even though I can't walk for more than a few minutes, can't stand up without agony, can't roll over in bed without crying, and worse can't have my two year old sit on my lap for a HUG because the pain it causes me is almost blinding. Forget about household chores and shopping for my family. Yet Dr. Kindred continues to ignore and undermine my pain. I have nine weeks left in my current pregnancy. Nine weeks of being bedridden, even though I'm not SUPPOSED to be on bed rest. Nine weeks of trying to explain to my two year old that mommy cannot get up to play with her and watching her cry. And nine more weeks of that man refusing to do a damn thing helpful for me. If you have any choice in the matter at all, find a different OBGYN. Let you family doctor take care of your pregnancy if s/he is willing, anything but deal with a doctor who likes to walk out of the exam room in the middle of your sentence because he can't bring himself to care long enough to let you finish.

I lost a pregnancy in August Dr. Kindred told me to call as soon as I became pregnant again and we'd do blood work to see why I miscarried. We did the blood work and I was put on Progesterone after that battle, I went in for my first Prenatal appointment and my baby is only 5 weeks old when it should be over 6. He told me we'd do blood work (and we did NOT) to see about blood clotting but that I probably miscarried again then told me we'd wait 2 WEEKS to do another sono to confirm that I miscarried or the baby is ok. 2 WEEKS???? REALLY!??!

While he is a good doctor, and did a wonderful job with the prenatal care. he even caught the fact that my amniotic fluid had stopped feeding and aiding my baby and helped me decide for an induction. being young, i was naturally scared. but his staff was unbelievably helpful. even the lab techs. There are a few things however that stick out in my mind about him. the first is the fact that while i was in labor, and had been for 13 hours, he came into the room and instead of asking how i was doing or anything the first words out of his mouth were, " can we hurry this up a bit? i have to be in the office at eight." meanwhile i was 10 min away from giving birth to my baby girl. while it was an amazing experience, i could have done without the (with lack of a better word) inconsideration , when he walked into the room. Second, after i gave birth, and waiting way beyond the allotted time, i was having massive amounts of discomfort and pain when it came to intercourse. when i expressed a concern, it was not even checked or addressed... i then asked when the nurse came back into the room, and got no reply even then. so to this day, i have no explanation as to the increased amount of pain..

However, having expected some difficulty, with him being a new doctor and everything. i have still recommended him to some of my friends and even a family member or two. i plan on fully keeping him as my doctor. after being there and catching a potentially dangerous thing during my pregnancy, i wouldn't have anyone else as my doctor.

I started seeing Dr. Kindred immediately when I found out I was pregnant. It became quite apparent that he didn't remember me at each appointment. At 20 wks. we found that my son had a choroid plexus cyst. I asked him at the time if I should see a specialist and he stated to me that his sonographers were just as good as at a specialist and that they would see if something was wrong. I had low weight gain, extra amniotic fluid, contractions about 20 times a day from 18 wks. on, my son measured small on every sonogram, the choroid plexus cyst, 3 heart defects, and a horse-shoe shaped kidney, looking back he had low set ears and clenched hands on every sono which we didn't notice at the time or even know was a sign, but a specialist would have. My son was born full term with a condition called Trisomy 18. Thanks to Dr. Kindred we had no idea anything was wrong. It is a condition that is incompatible with life. He only lived 2 wks. Only 10% of these cases are not diagnosed before birth!!!! He missed every sign and signal he was given. What makes it worse is that when I went in for my check up the nurse asked me if I was breast feeding or bottle feeding. I told her with tears streaming down my face that unfortunately I was doing neither and if she would just open the chart she would see that my son had passed away. Then I saw Dr. Kindred, who in the conversation asked me,"now we didn't tie your tubes did we?" He couldn't even remember that! To top it off, I received a bill today from him for my son's circumcision. THAT HE DIDN'T HAVE because we knew he wouldn't live. I am concerned for anyone and their child who see this Dr. Please consider going somewhere else!

I absolutely love going to Kindred's office. He delivered my first son almost 4 years ago and is taking care of this pregnancy as well. I had a miscarriage between the 2 and everyone in the office is empathetic and helpful as to how to cope and other places that help with coping. He has a great personality and the best bedside manner. He does run late at times but if you were the best in the area you would be busy and late too!!!

excellent bed side manner.
very busy doc but when he is in the room with you, you would never know, he takes his times, answers your questions
and his nurse staff works just as hard, I have had problems getting pregnant and had a missed miscarriage and they were great for both - sympathetic during the miscarriage and rooted us on while we where trying to conceive.
I also have had 3 babies under his care - and the best
doc - he was there for all 3 births and he tries to be for each baby.
during our infertility we tried several drugs, ran tests for both my husband and myself, ultrasounds each cycle, and had IUI under his care. he is a beginning infertility doc, so if you need IVF he doesn't do that, but many OB's don't. I would recommend him to everyone, if you want a doc that cares I would chose Dr. Kindred

I couldn't disagree more with some previous reviews. I had fertility problems and went to see him for just that reason. He suggested that my husband also get checked out for problems. Prescribed clomid for me. And checked my tubes. His bedside manner was excellent during the miscarriage of twin sons (8 years ago) as well as the difficult pregnancy and live birth of my daughter (6 years ago). I moved 2 hours away from Peoria 2 years ago, and just can't bring myself to change to a closer office. I've been seeing Dr. Kindred for 10 years now.

I liked Dr Kindred until I began to have problems getting pregnant. He advertises that he specializes in infertility problems...but he really doesn't know what he is doing. However it took going to a real infertitly MD to find that out. Among several problems....He never once advised my husband and I to have my husband checked for his own fertility problems (which we BOTH have problems), he put me on Clomid and never bothered to make sure my tubes were open. Final straw was after several rounds of Clomid didn't work the office stopped being helpful and I think they didn't want to deal with my anymore. He might be great if you aren't having trouble getting pregnant...but if you are find another MD

Dr. Kindred has been my doctor for over a year now and has helped me through everything from a yeast infection to ovarian cysts. His personality is great but his office is so busy! Anytime that I visit his new office there is a long wait. When I call, the phone is busy EVERY TIME. I repeatedly call at different hours of the day and need to call many times in a row to get through and am then asked if I can hold. Aside from being too busy (for obvious reasons) Dr. Kindred has the perfect personality for his job.

Dr Kindred delivered my last son and has taken care of my multiple medical problems since then. I moved to Wisconsin after seeing him for 2 year and logically changed doctors. After seeing multiple doctors in my area, I've switched back to Dr Kindred because of the attentiveness of the doctor and his staff. From cancer scares to endometriosis and child birth the doctor has never failed to inform me of all my options and talk through them with me in detail. He's worth the day taken off work to see him and make sure that I get the best care.

I received the best care I have experienced from an ob/gyn from Doc. Kindred. He was very personable and thorough regarding all my special needs. He helped me through a difficult time on a professional level as well as support in a very personal way. Excellent care as well as bedside manner of an "old" fashioned doctor.

Dr. Kindred was referred to me by a friend who is a labor and delivery nurse. He is exceptional (as far as I've seen). He took the time to talk to me through my appointment. He gave great information and I never felt hurried! The office is really busy so appointments do run late from time to time. Be sure to book early in the morning to ensure a better chance your appointment doesn't start late. Free parking too!
