I came to this store on a very busy day. There was a lot going on and there was a very long line. I must have waited for about 15 minutes, which I didn't mind but it gave me a chance to take in everything about the store. I was appalled by the way an older black woman employee was yelling at the younger Spanish girls! It seemed so out of line! This women actually had the audacity to then turn to me and say "can you believe her" rolled her eyes and walked into a back room. I can't believe she thought her loud, rude behavior was justified! Other then that I enjoyed my shopping experience. The prices were higher then I thought but all in all I was happy with my purchase of a new comforter.

This store is cleaner now then it was in the past. But being at the new store has given managers a big head. The prices are not Thrift Store prices. Jeans for 20 bucks!!!?? Other thrift stores/goodwills prices for jeans are 6-7 dollars. I have seen managers walking out the back door with large pieces of furniture and other merchandise that they have not paid for. They are rude and disorganized. I see their employees working very hard to check out very long lines of customers while the managers sit on the couches and do nothing.
I had my son take this picture while I was using the vending machines. This is what the women see as soon as they exit the bathroom. The only time I've seen them get up is to follow someone around the store who they assume is shop lifting. I overheard an African American Women employee bragging about how she fills a bag with merchandise and gets it all for 99 cents. This is why everything in the store is crap because the employees get first dibs. UNFAIR!

The owners of this store should be embaressed. Their prices are outrageous and they are in a less affluent section of town. I feel they are definitely exploiting the poor people of Edgewood. Probably one cent on a dollar goes to charity which makes them a charitable institution. Prices on mens' jeans are $19.95. I can pay that anywhere. Then they have merchandise that I can get for $1.00 at the Dollar Store. I get cheaper NEW merchandise at Kohls at 80% off. Retail stores are hurting very badly in this economy and people are looking elsewhere to save money. Granted on certain days they maybe half price but it is still too much money. On Bel air road is Bearly Used, a consignment store, the average price on jeans is $6.00 Around the corner is Tabitha's House where everyday something is 50% off. On friday the entire store is half price if the cost is over $1.00. I do not even go into the Goodwill Store anymore except for the last saturday of the month when clothes are half price. They have raised their prices too ever since they moved there. Shoes and pocketbooks used to be one set price but now they mark them individually to make more money. They don't bother to mark their clothes, it's just one collective price for shirts, pants etc. but let them find something nice then they remove it to the BOUTIQUE section. Don't these people get it....if I wanted to shop boutique I wouldn't be in their store, I want a good-value price. I am definitely a bargain shopper but I find it is becoming harder and harder these days.

We attempted to drop off to chairs there & some mean loud black women jumped all over us. I have been in that store several times and have seen furniture in the same condition as the chairs we were dropping off in there store, yet this black women flipped out and refused to take the chair. Discrimination? I am a firm believer in recycling, but thanks to the big black women at the thrift store I will be taking the two chairs and two couches in decent condition to the dump. We could have just as easily taken the chairs to the dump, we sure weren't making any money off of them from the thrift store. Now they won't be either.

I thought a thrift store was suppose to be about helping people with the odds and ends? Alot of people shop at thrift stores because they can't afford prices in a normal stores.Well, this thrift store isn't about helping anybody one bit but itself!!Their prices are marked up to high especiallly on their furniture and alot of the odds and ends like purses behind the counter,shoes,dishes,ext... You name it. Another thing is they treat minority workers unfairly and I'm not playng the race card.I've seen and known people that worked their and as soon as they get hired they get fired. They are not willing to work with highschool kids schedules because within 2 months I've seen at least 7 minority kid workers fired. And that was why. Sadly, thats not including the adult minority workers. There are no minority managers there period and that is because management there is racist.Especially the general manager in charge right now.I use to shop there all the time because I had no car so I had to settle with the overrated prices. Now if you feel the same way this thrift store is affiliated with AM Vets National Service Foundation and I advise anybody to file a complaint if you feel mistreated or robbed by the inflated prices. 1-800-810-7148, 4647 Forbes Boulevard,Lanham,MD.20706.This is 2010 and racism should be buried.Plus, the economy is still struggling with money and thats all we need is a thrift store getting above itself with prices.Don't talk about ot be about it.Thanks.

I just wanted to say, that i really loved shopping at this store, until i needed to speak to a manager and a woman named sharon was very rude to me and i had not even asked her what i needed, I have shopped before when she was there and I see how she is with other customers and employees, very disapointed that edgewood thrift would have someone this nasty on there payroll.

I use to like this store but now i don't and will not ever shop there again. I went last night and saw a sectional sofa and didn't have a truck so i figured id call today and see if its still there. Well i called and yes she said its still AVAILABLE. So i hurry up and pack my kids up and went down with my brother in-law to go get it. Now i live a good ways away so its not local at all. I get there and sure enough there's a freaking SOLD sign on the damn thing, I confronted the cashier about it and she says " yes it was sold last night". Now who's gonna pay for my wasted trip to this junk hole?? The workers there need to get there story straight and know what the hell they are talking about when people call.

Edgewood area doesn't always get the best rap in town, so I was a little hesitant to try a thrift store in town. However, I was very pleasantly surprised at how clean and kept up this store is for the most part. They have a very good selection of just about anything under the sun, and great prices on clothing, especially for children. Things are pretty well organized for a thrift store which sometimes takes on the image of being thrown together.

The is one of the largest thrift stores I've ever found. The items are all color labeled with certain colors fifty percent off daily. The books aren't organized but for kids seperate from adults and paperback from hardback. There are dressing rooms to try the clothes. Plus you can take your own discards with you when you go. So long as the store is open they will take items.

PROS: Large, dressing rooms
CONS: Books aren't organized. Clothes have staples in them from tags.
