I THINK THIS THEATER IS THE WORST THEATER EVER!! MY HUSBAND AND I WERE SITTING THERE WATCHING THE MOVIE, WHEN SOME RATS RAN BY US. THERE WERE ANTS CRAWLING UP THE SEATS, AND THERE WAS FLIES EVERYWHERE. THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THIS THEATER IS THAT ITS A GOOD COLLEGE THEATER. I wouldnt recommind going to this theater.

I have only been there once, but I wasn't impressed. However, my bad experience wasn't entirely their fault. For the most part, it was your average theater. That in itself wasn't bad. But it is considerably more expensive than the ones back home. You might claim that this is because it is the only theater so close to a college campus. That is not a valid excuse because back home there is a theater close to Notre Dame that is less expensive AND offers student discounts. It is the only one close to ND. Next, the time I did go, the movie was ruined by the people in the row behind me -- a few parents taking their kids into a movie. The parents were talking, loudly, through the entire movie. Furthermore, the kids were bored and were literally climbing over the seats into our laps and the parents weren't doing anything and the theater employees didn't do anything either (even when they saw how out of control the kids were acting in the lobby... and they were out of control in there too). But setting these aside, it is your average theater.... not great, not bad. You may not have the same experience and you may not blame the theater for the problems. But remember, it is the theater's responsibility to see that the customers are happy or they will lose business. They lost my (and my friend's) business that night.

PROS: Very close to campus.
CONS: More expensive. I had bad experience there.

They have a small card with 8 movie pouches, you could get two free drinks and one bag of popcorn. Also you could use the coupon from exponent newspaper for 2.5 dolloars popcorn and one drink. Their chair is comfortable, and always a lot of people in the theatre. I think they are the only one clost to the campus.

This movie theater is the one closest to campus, and that's probably reason it's so well off: location. Otherwise, the place is nothing to wright home about - small theaters, odd schedule, pop movies (real Oscar contenders, like this year's "Vanity Fair", "Kinsley", or "Being Julia" don't even make it to the screen here). Once in a while the theater hosts university events - like digital short movie contest, or screenings sponsored by PSUB. Parking has been tight lately, since outside of the movie parking lot (i.e. by Neon Cactus on Levi Plaza etc) the cars get towed, so be careful.

Overall, it would be a run-of-the-mill movie theater, but for its closeness to Purdue.
It often features "preivew" evenings (the passes for those can be picked up at office at PMU, you just have to be a Purdue student to qualify), and the crown on general days is college students (makes for some great comments).
Unfortunately, the most thought-provoking movies (like "Kinsley", "being Julia", and "Vanity Fair" this year) never make it to this theater - for some reason it's decided it's catering to pop crowd. What a pity - it loses lots of appeal it could have.
Weekends have free matinees for kids, with varying movies, and a break in the middle (either geared toward younger kids, or they are trying to make money on concessions) :)
