Dr Michael Stark

I never went to doctors and if I needed too I NEVER WENT BACK, until I met Dr. Stark. I traveled far to see him and when I was miserable driving I remembered when I saw him why I drove that far. He was so warm and loving and sweet. I am so sorry for his family, his staff and everyone else that knew him. I've only been to him a few times and he touched my life which is why I drove far to see him. I am very sad and I miss him already.

When I was shopping for a new doctor a few years ago, a friend mentioned Dr. Stark. She described him, like a "teddy bear," "everybody loves him." After I met him, I told her she was right and thanked her for the referral. He was such a beautiful person who certainly touched a lot of lives. When I saw the picture of his parents and Golda Mier in the exam room again today, it took me back to when Dr. Stark told me the story. I cannot believe that this man is gone. I have been going to his office since my early 20s. He has helped me so much - but the thing is that he KNEW it. Many people don't know how they touch other people's lives - but he knew. He encouraged me to have gastric bypass and supported me with all the nooks and crannies to get approved, etc. My health is, because of him, so much better and thank G-d he knew that. I just cannot believe that G-d needed him so much - his patients/friends needed him so much more. He was who he was and you can't find this sort of doctor anymore. As young as he was he was still old-school. Took the time to listen, to kibbitz a bit and end an appointment with a big fat HUG and kiss. Who does that anymore? He will always be MY doctor. My family's heart and prayers go out to Cindy, the kids and grandchildren. As you all know - he was 1 in a gazillion. He will be so missed.

As one of the countless drug representatives that visit(ed) Dr. Stark,we knew him differently. In an ever increasing competitive health care environment drug reps have gotten used to the "I can't deal with the sales man today". Dr. Stark was different. Yes, he did have a very busy practice however more times than not, even if he was seeing three or more patients, he would take the few seconds out of his day to say hello, perhaps chat and maybe even discuss how your product helped his one patient.. He was a good man. This breed is literally fading away. Dr. Stark touched the lives of people you wouldn't think matter much, including the salesperson who would actually look forwards to that one call on Bridge Avenue. I would like to take the opportunity to speak for the 100 or so drug representatives and express our condolences to his family and say he will be sorely missed.

We met in the late 1980's, You helped me through some difficlut times as well as extending your deep concern for other family members. Over the years our relationship developed into more than doctor/patient. We discussed travel .photography and grandchildren.

On what turned out to be our last meeting, you took me back to your office and showed me all the pictures from your lastest fishing trip to Alaska, explaining each one as to why you took it or what was the inside joke.

It's hard to speak about you in the past tense. You were the best at what you did, you truly loved your patients and you will be missed by all. My condolences to your wife, children, grandchildren and extended family.

I was very sad to hear back in January that Dr. Stark took ill. I am even more saddened to hear that this lovely man is now gone. My husband and I have been patients since moving to NJ in 2000. He was a fine doctor who always made you feel reassured - also made you laugh.

I feel very lucky to have been one of Dr. Starks patients and I'm so sad at his passing. It does not seem fair that such a kind man should be robbed of his life at such a young age. It has really affected me, as I know my wife is also upset. A lot of people will miss him and will never get used to the fact that he is gone. He had a way of developing a special relationship with his patients that we just do not see too much of anymore. He was like a member of my family. He knew me very well. It really hurts...

It is with deep sorrow that i learned today of the passing of your husband, father, grandfather. He truly was someone i respected and trusted. I was a patient of his for many years and will miss him. He always made me feel at ease and gave me the help and guidance that i needed. I loved looking at all the pictures of his family in his patient rooms. You were one of the most caring individuals I have ever come across. Your patients really meant something to you, you took the time to speak with us on a personal level....you always remembered to ask about my family.

I will miss you dearly.

If you are looking for a general physician who will talk to you on your level, this is the doctor. He is friendly and speaks to his patients on a level that they can understand. He is funny, outgoing and makes you feel comfortable. It makes going to the doctor not so bad.
