Howard Jones Salon

I have been a client of the Howard Jones Salon for five years. The staff is talented and friendly. I love to change-up my hair, and have felt complete confidence putting myself in the hand of my stylist and letting them work their magic. It is not the least expensive shop in town, but tthe end product is more than worth it.

I stumbled on to this Salon and my hairdresser Laurie because I lived across the street. It's not the cheapest, but I have consistently received some of the best haircuts of my entire life there, and I have very long, difficult hair. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, and I continue to drive up there although I now live over an hour South.

I'm not giving 5-stars, however, because I do sometimes have to wait. The laid back atmosphere is great except when you're in a hurry!!

This stylist is an absolute GENIUS when it comes to styling and coloring. She is especially great when you have an open mind and let her "work her magic". I got an awesome mens cut with a new shape! This girl is very friendly and not to mention gorgeous as well. Prices are good as well, and you definitely get what you pay for when you go to JEN!

Yes the salon is in a good location, but I was not happy with my hair. I used the salon coupon and was booked an appointment with a new young stylist from the LA area. She did not listen to what I really wanted and the color came out grey! When I wanted my money back I was threatened by the owner that he was going to call the cops! So, if you see a coupon for the Howard Jones Salon do not be tempted and go somewhere else.

My stylist did a great job with the hair cut I wanted. She was on time but I noticed many people waiting in the small reception area . Make sure you have cash; which is hard these days; because they do not take credit cards!

I had been going to the same stylist for the last six years or so and in was getting tired of driving the distance to see her since I've moved a few times. Although I liked her it just wasn't practical, so I started searching for stylists. Howard Jones is near my home, and I called and they recommended a stylist for me. I immediately loved the cut and she did a great job on the color. My next visit I wanted something a little different and what came out wasn't exactly what I wanted. I lived with it for a week and called her back and she redid the color for free, an hour and a half process. That's service. Very clean and nice salon. A bit pricey for me but I'd say still middle of the road, its not on the high end. I'd definitely recommend it, and did to a friend of mine who is also now a repeat customer... I also never have to book weeks and weeks out, they usually get me in on within a few days if I want.

PROS: Nearby, professional staff, good prices, great customer service
CONS: A little pricey but worth it. Nothing worse than a ho-hum or bad hair-do

I have been bouncing around from one salon to the next and I have not been satisfied by any. The big salons don't seem to listen, they do nice work, but I don't feel like me when I leave. The smaller ones like Sams and the Cuttery make me feel like I didn't get a good cut and I couldn't get color done.

This last week I went to Howard Jones Salon off of Golden Lantern and finally! I got people who knew what they were doing and the whole place felt really nice.

As I got my color done, I came to find that not only had most of the stylists been there for a while, but the clients had been coming there for just as long! It was a real home-y feel.

The place was clean, very nicely kept, and I didn't feel like it was so uptight I couldn't get a fun cut, but it wasn't so funky that I felt out of place either.

Okay, so I didn't pay a rock bottom price, but I also didn't have to turn over my whole pay check either and I felt like me for the first time in a long time. My color is awesome and the cut was just right.

I'll be back there definitely!

PROS: All of the stylists could do both cut and color, some offered special srvcs
