After my vehicle was hit n totalled, I started car shopping, hours n hours n weeks later...n a VERY BAD experience at BobRuthFord, I stopped in at McCafferty - 1/2 hour before they closed. I had a rather small budget of only 3k yet Dan was extremely pleasant n helpful!! Found me an AMAZING vehicle n got 1900 off the asking price in order to keep me in my budget!!! I was on a test drive n then the owner of my new vehicle in less than an hour!!! They were GREAT - even with me coming in so late!!! They were ALL so friendly!!! I LOVE driving my "new" vehicle!!! Would n will DEFINITELY recommend them to others n will go back when I need another vehicle!!! THANK U MCCAFFERTY n especially DAN :-D

I get my car service with John at Kia. He is always nice and takes good care of me. The people at sales are really nice too. They always help if I have a problem and when I send people I know in, they always say they was nice too. I had a Kia before and just bought another one. They got me a really low payment. They are really good to deal with.

Are you going to McCafferty or thinking about it? STOP PLEASE STOP!!!!!! Wait until you hear my story about them.
It all started in Oct. 2010 when my mother was have trouble with her little ford car. Now keep in mind my mother is 75 years old. She took her car to McCafferty and told Ken in service that her car keeps over heating and could he find out why. Well after about 4 hours he came back and told her it needed a water pump in it and it would cost over $400.00. My mother told him to go ahead and put it in. Then in Jan. 2011 the car got over heated again, she again took it back and asked why, Ken told her that she would have to let the car there. After about two days I called and talked to Ken and he told me that the car needed a radiator and pipes in it and it would cost over $400.00 to do the work. I asked if this is what is causing the car to over heat and he said yes. I also told him that my mother was on a fixed income so my bother will have to pay for it. I then asked if the car was worth fixing as I felt my mother was putting in too much money, he said yes that it was a very good little car and she should not have any more trouble with it as far as over heating. They then fixed the car again. After about 2 days the car over heated again and left my mother stuck at Mcdonald's drive-through. She had to wait 3 hours for the car to cool down and drive home. She then called me crying what had happen. Now this time instead of going back to Mccafferty she took the car to Bobby Rahal and told them the same thing she told Mccafferty. The next day Hope from Bobby Rahal called me and said that the mechanic said DO NOT LET YOUR MOTHER DRIVE THAT CAR AS IT WAS A DEATH TRAP!!!! Hope said that everything in the car was ready to go including the steering, The mechanic also said that the transmission was also ready to go and that if she was on the highway and the transmission went, she would not know it and the car would slow down and could be hit from behind and she could be killed. I was so furious I went to Mccafferty and yelled that I wanted to see Ken and the manager. Ken came out of one of the rooms and asked what was going on, I told him how could he rip off an elderly woman and I started to wave the reports one from them and another from Bobby Rahal. Then someone came from around the corner and told Ken to take me to a room to shut me up. I just yelled I wanted a manager and that I would not be quiet. A manager did come and we all went into a room and boy did Ken lied. They then got the mechanic into the room. He said that they did not do anything wrong and just fixed that car. I said did you take the car for a test drive and he said yes and that there was nothing wrong with the car except the transmission was bad and felt like it was going out. I yelled and said why didn't you write that down? And the manager asked the same thing and why would someone sink all this money into a car that would not be any good.
The mechanic said buy the way I don't know anything about transmissions. The manager just caught the mechanic in a lie and asked me what can we do to satifisfied you, I said you can take her car and give my mother all the money she paid for in repairs, he said that would be over $900.00 total. I said yes or I will with every breath in me tell everyone about this place. The manager told me that I had to wait until Monday so he can ask the head manager. So now I wait.
I will also go to the license board in Pa. I will not stop until I get satisfaction.

So BEWARE PEOPLE ESPECIALY THE ELDERLY!!!

The sales people are so rude. They said they could get me into a vehicle and after driving an hour to get there they said they made a mistake. They made me feel as though this mistake happens all the time.

On two occations i've had issues at this dealership. First a headlight kept going out and would come back on after I turned them off and back on, it took the dealership 3 days to test this issue with no loaner care provided. The HID ballast needed replaced, I suggested this when I dropped the car off. Second I had a new bumper installed, Ford OEM part, They keep forgetting parts, not painting everything needed to be painted to match factory look, they keep wanting more money. I would avoid this dealership and go somewhere with better customer service.

McCafferty Ford is a great dealership. They also have KIA right next door if that's more what you're looking for. We purchased our Explorer there just over a year ago and the service still hasn't stopped. A lot of dealerships don't care what happens after they get your money. Our salesman has made a point to check in ans see how things were going. We have had the car serviced (oil change and routine 20K service) and they have always been very prompt and had the car finished whenever promised. They also have a free shuttle which makes it very conveinent to drop off and pick up.
