Kennywood is fun but absurdly priced. Also, make sure to call before you go to see what groups or schools are there that day. During some "inner city" school picnic days the place can get rough and a bit scary.

Kennywood Park is an amusement park in West Mifflin, which is part of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is by far the best amusement park in Pittsburgh, and possibly, the best in all of western Pennsylvania. The park has water rides, roller coasters, it even has a jump ride that springs you over a hundred feet in the air, which is really scary. The best ride at this park is The Phantom's Revenge, which is extremely fun. Unfortunately, the wait for the ride is extremely long. Usually, it is at least forty-five minutes.

Kennywood is one of my favorite amusement parks around. I used to live in the Greensburg area and religiously went to Kennywood yearly with our children and when I was a child. It is the biggest thing I miss about moving away. It has great rides, great food and a great place to have some family time creating special memories.

You can pay the same amount to get into Cedar Point amusement park and ride all day on 300+ more rides than this park. The medal detectors and the search when you go into the park make you HESITATE to go. They have excellent food as they have always had down through the years but the prices are going up on that also. I just don't see why we have to pay so much to attend a "local" amusement park. I guess they have us though because it will soon be the ONLY local amusement park. Kennywood is an old friend but things sure are changing.

Kennywood has very good rides. But on my behalf i really don't like waiting over a half an hour or more to get on a ride. And i think for the high prices you pay to get in, i want to ride as many rides as i can while i'm there to get my money's worth.Sometimes your lucky to even ride 20 times in a day.

Kennywood started out many years ago as a trolley park. That is many folks took the trolley to the park. Thus, this park has a lot of history behind it. They are trying to keep some of the history alive in the midst of new, state of the are attractions. This is THE place for school outings and is a place to take the whole family for a day of fun. The food is varied as are the rides.

You may be surprised to learn that Kennywood is a National Historic Landmark, but it will become clear after you visit. Walking around Kennywood will instantly invoke memories of those amusement parks that you saw in classic movies or TV shows. However, the parks traditional look and feel -- including many old-time rides such as wooden coasters -- has been balanced with newer roller coasters and water rides. Kennywood also maintains its charm by limiting the commercialization and by being located in a non-tourist destination. You wont find anywhere near the crowds as a Six Flags or Disney park. The other bonus? Free parking!

Kennywood is a great amusement park to take your family to. It is not as crowded as some of the bigger parks, but has plenty of rides for everyone to enjoy. From big coasters to kiddie rides to water rides. Everyone can find something they will enjoy.

Kennywood Park is my all time favorite amusemnet park. I have to admit that I was slightly disappointed last time I was there because it wasn't exactly the same as I remember from my childhood. It is still a classic park with lots of old charm and tons of history. If you are ever in the Pittsburgh area in teh summer time you should incluse a trip to Kennywwod in your itinerary. I also recomend the video documetary "Kennywood Memories". It will give you a lot of respect for the park and its beginnings.

Kennywood Park is a great place for a day of family fun! Their roller coasters are awesome (we love the Steel Phantom!) and the other rides are fun too. They have rides and games for all ages, and you can't beat the location. Whether you live in Pittsburgh, Wheeling or Steubenville, Kennywood is just a short drive away! Go for a day, or stay in a nearby hotel for a few days of high energy fun!

Kennywood park is a local legand and one of the best small parks in the country. Although it doesn't boast numerous locations or provide amazing thrills such as Six Flags or other big name parks, Kennywood provides a little something for everyone. The food is delicious and the landscaping beautiful. Rides are offered for small children in Kiddy Land, and adults can enjoy a few thrilling roller coasters. I do feel this park lacks a few things though - like a farris wheel, and some sort of ride that scares the pants out of children. Tickets can be pricey, but Kennywood offers its own unique magic.

Kennywood is a great Pittsburgh attraction. It offers a wide variety of rides and has something for everyone. The local flare can be felt throughout the park. There are a lot of coasters in the park that are top notch. The grounds are very pretty and very clean for an amusement park.
PROS: Great rides!
CONS:

I'd definitely recommend a visit to Kennywood for anybody not suffering from neck, back, heart problems, not pregnant, and over 36" (well, maybe under 36" too). There are bunches of fun rides. I especially like the rollercoasters which are neat in that they're often historic as well as fun. My favorites are the Thunderbolt and the Racer. The admission at the gate is usually pricey but you can almost always find a promotion during the summer by buying specially marked cans of pop or visiting some fast food restaurant.

I have been to many amusement parks all over the US, but none have impressed me as much as Kennywood Park. Kennywood Park is a very large amusement park with many, many good rides. A lot of parks have rides, but not many that are very impressive - not so at Kennywood. There are a lot of roller-coasters here, water rides, and many others. You definately get your money's worth here. Make sure you get cheese fries at the potato patch!
PROS: Rides, rides, rides!
CONS:

There is nothing bad to say about Kennywood park. It has been there for over a hundred years and is still going strong. with one of the best wooden rollar coasters in the USA and one of the fastest steel coasters too. Don't forget to sample all of the food (esp the potato patch fries) and go to the haunted houses. Kennywood has a ton of them which you don't see at a lot of amusement parks.
