I got a surgery done at UCLA medical group and it turned out very well. the doctors are very cautious and very patient. The treatment after was really nice too. They sent me stuff at my home to use and the physiotherapy after the surgery was also great. They were very supportive morally as well.
I typically go there when I medical assistance. The general practice physicians are competent and nice. But the service is rater cold. There is not really a good follow up. One of the physician referred me to a specialist in dermatology. It took almost 2 months to get the first available appointment! The dermatologist examined me really quick and all the analysis were done by someone else.... a bit disappointing for such a long wait!
I can honestly say that the UCLA group is far superior to the last medical group I had. Infact I switched to UCLA just to take advantage of the staggering medical services housed under it's group. You can see doctors for just about any medical condition and get it all done in the same vacinity. Whe I saw my general practitioner for the first time I also got blood tests done the same day in a building just across the way! Talk about convenience..normally that would be an entire trip and appt by itself. Also they are pretty good about sending out things like results and referrals in a timely manner. But I have to say I am now seeing the drawbacks of such a large group as it does sometimes cause delays.
