For a reading adventure

Not only books but you'll find toys, signed books, and puzzles. They also have art activities every week. They offer the best items and books and the customer service is top notch!

A World Apart

by Anonymous

Storyopolis is a small bookstore, but they've put together such a great collection of books that you'll want to buy more here than at a bigger bookstore. I have gotten my niece and nephew some amazingly wonderful and unique books that they can cherish and pass on to their kids someday.. They also sell art (mostly illustrators' original works for children's books.) There are also special readings that you can call ahead and buy tickets for. The customer service is terrific, if you need help with anything you just have but to ask the knowledgeable staff (they claim to read every book that comes in!) You can come in on a Saturday for themed events involving arts and crafts, or attend any of the weekly activities (that include readings by celebrities!) and craft hours. They also have parties there and the staff will handle the theme, entertainment, food and favors. A bit pricey at $800 for a two hour party for 20 kids, but will probably be something the kids will never forget.

A moms best friend

by suzanne l. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 8,211

Storyopolis is a mom's best friend. They are an amazing toy and book store with childrens books, toys, and even original art! They have free story time nearly every day and alot of events. They store is very kid friendy -- they can play with most everything. I just wish they had better parking.

Beanbag Bliss

by Eden F. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 10,298

What's better than falling into a beanbag chair and listening to a good story? Storyopolis knows that the way to get kids to love books is to make reading fun.

Inside, everything is bright and colorful. Lots of toys and fun items to look at besides a great selection of books. All the books are easy to access and inviting.

For nursing moms, there are lots of comfy chairs so that's a big plus. Many bookstores have taken out seating to put in more shelves. A big mistake in this Mom's opinion.

Most of my favorite books were found by reading them first in the store and then taking them home with me. Now that the chain stores have discouraged in-store reading, it's nice to find a place like Storyopolis where they actually encourage you to stay for a while.

Bottomline: A great place for energetic kids and tired Moms, encourages reading the old fashioned way.
