5 Stars: Not just a comic book store (by Brian W.)

You know, I have not really been a comic book fan since I was in junior high school. So when I met the crazy proprietors of this new comic book store in Hayes Valley, I was a bit skeptical. However, I then went by when they were having a comic book signing. WHAT AN AMAZING PLACE! The styling, colors and layout of the store completely change the feel of it from a dark store with rows and rows of comic books to an open, inviting and hip spot to find trendy new media. They have guest signings on a regular basis and even had a live band playing a couple of weeks ago. I highly suggest you stop in -- especially if you have not been to a comic book store since you were a teenager.

4 Stars: Isotopey excellentness (by Rebecca H.)

As far as comic book shops go, this is by far the friendliest one in the San Francisco/Peninsula area. James Sime is also a very knowledgeable owner and interesting person. Also offers a great selection of graphic novels and comic book memorabilia.

PROS: Great reading environment
CONS: Lack of parking; Hard to get to location.
