I love Montrose. It is like South Pasadena, that it is has that small town feel with sense of community but still L.A. with all of the perks a big city. So, what can be better than a Farmer's Market on a Sunday morning in it's main shopping restaurant area? Get your fresh produce and have a nice lunch at one of the great eateries on Honolulu.

Lots to do and see at the Montrose Farmers Market, especially for the kids. The weekend that we went there was a bouncer, an obstacle course and a climb up/slide down thing. We also enjoyed live music. Grab something to eat from one of the local vendors or nearby restaurants. Great produce and fresh flowers.

This is one of the greatest farmer's markets around. Every Sunday 9am-2pm, rain or shine. You'll find things that other markets dont have, like small rides for kids, a petting zoo, live music, blocks and blocks of fresh veggies, fruits, nuts, baked items, small outdoor restaurants specializing in Mexican food & BBQ foods. Get a huge plate for about 5.00, find a place to sit and listen to the music. There are homemade soaps, lotions, clothing items, artwork, woodwork, tapestries, and jewelries. Easy to spend at least 4 hours shopping, and on the sidewalks are the regular shops, opened for business as well. Check their website for special holiday hours and events.

PROS: Variety, and family affair
CONS: Nothing
