Super interesting coffee shop ?? but the coffee was only okay and the several times I have been there they did not have much choice in pastries. This is not up to the standard of other Cherry Street locations.

I work very close to cherry street and use to go there all the time but lately the staff is just rude and slow. The food is amazing if they pay attention to you long enough to get your order right and same with the coffee. I really hope the owner can get this place back to normal. It's gonna take a lot to get me to go back there. And to the staff, you work in a coffee shop, get over yourself.

We live only a block from Cherry St Coffee, and when we first moved in we fell in love with the look of it. It's the cutest little shop and has free wireless so it seemed like a great place to sit and work. They do make fantastic food and if you get a good barista the coffee is great. However, the staff is beyond rude. The manager may take the cake on this one. She is friendly to those she chooses to be, from what I can tell her only her friends, and refuses to make any accomadations for requests. Her staff rarely ever smile or greet you, often looking surprised to see you standing there interupting their conversations. So rude in fact is the staff, that my roomate and a few of our friends refuse to return and instead choose to walk up to starbucks. I will no longer get coffee there since they seem incapable of properly training barista's so you never know if you're coffee's going to be any good, however the food can be tough to resist. If you do go in, be prepared for good food, possibly wasting your hard earned $4 on bad coffee, and a scowl from whatever teenager/early 20something was forced to drag themselves out of bed that day.

I've visited the Downtown location (First and University) and several locations for a lunch sandwhich and have been happily impressed on each visit. They are very accomodating for my vegan diet, and the staff is friendly, helpful, cool and hip. It's a nice change from the run-of-the-mill coffee shops that populate the corner of nearly every block in downtown.

I love this place. Every time I go in the baristas are happy and smiling. The service is quick and efficient. The delicious falafel sandwich I often have for lunch is to die for. I will definitely keep coming back to get my latte and lunch fix.

AFTER VISITING THE BELLTOWN LOCATION FOR THE FIRST TIME WITH A GROUP OF COWORKERS, I CAN SAY THAT I AM NOT A BIG FAN OF MICROWAVED EGGS, REHEATED BACON, OBVIOUSLY FROZEN GYROS, OVERPRICED DOUGHNUTS, AND BITTER, STALE AND, LUKEWARM AT BEST, DRIP COFFEE. PUTTING ALL THAT ASIDE, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS AKIN TO TRYING TO GET SECONDS DURING THE GREAT DEPRESSION ALTHOUGH THEY WERE FRIENDLY AND SMILING. THE GOOD PART WAS THE GOOD LATTER WITH PRETTY LATTE ART AND GREAT PASTRIES (ESPECIALLY THE ALMOND ORANGE SCONE). I WILL PROBABLY GO BACK AND GIVE IT ANOTHER TRY BECAUSE THE PLACE HAS A GOOD ENERGY AND MAYBE THEY WERE HAVING AN OFF DAY THAT DAY.

Pros: Close to my condo

Cons: Coffee tastes like motor oil..

After giving Cherry Street four tries, I have found that they have the worst customer service and old, bad food. Everytime I went in there the employees were rude and I did not feel welcome. With all the other coffee choices in Seattle you'd think they'd try and set themselves apart. I was extremely dissapointed and will never get coffee there ever again.

The Cherry Street Coffee House is perfectly located in Belltown on First Avenue. They have a wide variety of pastries and different types of coffees to choose from. I like to sit in the front window and watch all the Belltown character walk by. They also have Wi-Fi service for those of you unable to unplug yourself.

PROS:
CONS: parking

We went for lunch and had blt and breakfast egg sandwich. Both sandwiches were ok. We decided to order desserts from the display case and they tasted very old. Yuck! The Italian soda tasted like seltzer water.
We didn't try the coffees, but as far as for lunch and the Italian soda not a recommended. Definitely skip the dessert.
Service was a really bad as well. They seemed really preoccupied. We waited quite a while just to have our sandwiches microwaved. And they forgot to give us part of our order.

As a sort of inside joke, my girlfriend and I refer to Cherry Street as the "Happy Place," and we couldn't mean it more sincerely. We always feel good going into this place, with perfect coffees (she loves the mochas), bagels, and almost excessively friendly and funny service. Seeing the cup on my desk at work a few hours later always makes me smile.

Now I'll admit I haven't been to every little nook and cranny coffee house in this city, but I have been to an awful lot of them. This place is my favorite. Great atmosphere, friendly baristas, and THE BEST latte I've had in this city (and that is saying a lot).
