NEVER SHOP AT THE ROOMSTORE ON 35TH AVE AND NORTHERN! ONLY IF YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!! We ordered a mattress from them at the end of Feb.-by April 4th THE MATTRESS WAS STILL NOT THERE. Then they told me TWO WEEKS TO GET MY MONEY BACK!!!! They wont be in business much longer. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!

ROOMSTORE ARIZONA IS A RIP-OFF!!!
They misled me with the extended warranty and the product. Absolutely no clue about any of their products except that they only know that they somehow need to sell it. I suppose all salespersons work on commision and they don't care about the customers. They are a bunch of sweet-talkers who only know how to rip-off their customers. I will never recommend this crappy store to anybody. And i am pretty sure, if they continue like this, they will be out of business.

I can give Mary the sales person a great review. The delivery people are something that I could do with out. They were rude, they did not even take the things off the furniture. They just about threw the furniture in the house as they could not get out fast enough. I will never buy furniture there again because I will not have them deliver to me.

This is one of the only places my fiance and I have found some decent looking couches here around Tempe/Chandler. We found the perfect one and were told it was in stock in the color fabric we wanted. So we went ahead with the Lease to Own option, signed the paperwork and paid the down payment on Nov 27th. We leave the store to go pick the couch up and then they call us and tell us it's not in stock until the week of Dec 12th.... We are obviously very upset since we asked SEVERAL times if the couch was in stock. We needed something to sit on in our apartment and threatened to cancel the whole thing- so they say we can give u the couch in another color as a "loaner" until your couch comes in and we will swap them out free delivery. So reluctantly we agreed and the "sales associate" tells us she'll call us the week of the 12th to set up delivery- she didn't call, we had to call them and they told us it was still on backorder- that the week of the 19th it will be in stock. Well It's Dec 23rd and we had to call THEM again because no one called us. The couch is now said to be coming in the week of Dec 26th. So basically we've been sitting on a loaner couch for a month and they still don't have our couch. Unless you want a couch you don't want- don't sign or pay for anything until you've checked 50 times with them that it's in stock, even then you'll probably get screwed. Don't buy here! Craptastic customer service, steer clear of Liberdy the sales associate.

Buy a cheap piece of furniture here if you'd like, but don't ever believe that if anything happens to it, you'll be covered under the Roomstore warranty or an additional purchased warranty. I'm old enough to know better, but still fell for the sale when I explained I was nervous about buying leather and was assured I had no worries as the warranties would cover my concerns. Well, they don't so buyer beware. And as the folks below have attested to, The Roomstore has the poorest customer service of any company I've ever experienced. I started only corresponding by email with them so I could have a record of their promises or lack thereof. And I'm not bitter because they won't honor the warranty. This is two years of trying to get service period.

When it comes to stains, The Room Store's 5-Year Furniture Protection and Extended Warranty Plan covers visual stains only. If you have a smell that goes along with that stain, be ready for a foul surprise and some stinky customer service.

Tim, a manager at the Phoenix location, reported The Room Store NEVER COVERS CLAIMS REGARDING ODORS...even if the odor is a result of an accident otherwise covered in the warranty. For example, Tim informed me pet urine may be cleaned under the warranty, but if a urine odor remains after the visual stain is removed it'll become your new "welcome home" smell as far as The Room Store is concerned. Odor simply will not be remedied, no ifs, ands, or buts.

Accidental food and beverage smell? Now you can ruminate in last month's garlic marinara stench for many months to come! Human urine or stomach fluid smell? Cozy up to the aromatic plumes of wafting urea and vomit reminiscent of truck stop bathrooms and grade school hallways after a mystery meat Friday! Did your pet get sick or urinate on your new furniture? Now you can invite friends and family over to relax in the pungent notes of dog park! All this, courtesy of The Room Store and its stinky warranty plan.

The Room Store justifies this policy through its following warranty exclusion (of which there are 18 in total): "...anything not specifically mentioned in this Protection Plan." Because the letters o-d-o-r are not specifically strung together within the text of the plan, The Room Store does not consider odor to be a coverable damage. As a result, you're likely to be left stain-free but very smelly after trying to make a claim with The Room Store. When it comes to purchasing furniture (and its warranties), you'd be well served to turn your nose up at The Room Store and make your way to one of its many competitors.

I bought a love seat recliner. the recliner mechanism is of the pull nature (handle on wire) I mentioned to the sales person that I thought it was not a very well thought out idea, he assured me it was and if I have any problems they would be happy to address them. I purchased the recliner on 1/28/08 for $697.88 it is now 10/12/09 and I have had the mechanism replaced going on the sixth (6) time..and was informed there is only a 3 year warranty on the part, after that it will cost $40.00 for a new part, that's a new part every 3.6 months, $120 a year and they say "You have just purchased what we GUARANTEE to be the best furniture available" It just shows " GO WITH YOUR GUT"

I will never shop at room store again. we spent almost $4000 to buy furniture for our house and purchased extended warranty for five year on leather sofa and love seat. The warranty was explained as " five years cushion, tear, fade etc. After 6 months we noticed that the sewing was coming apart on leather arm and the cushion was going flat, we called store warranty department...they scheduled someone to come out and look at it. I did not hear anything, after two weeks I called them and I was told cushion is wear and tear but arm part will be replaced and parts takes 6-8 weeks. Again, after waiting two months I called them back since i didn't hear from them. I was told there was no order placed and it was considered as wear and tear as well. I asked to speak to the manager but I was put on voice-mail and til today have not received call from her. The service was very poor and associates were extremely rude......

I will never shop at the roomstore located on 35th Ave and Northern. The manager, Leo, is rude and obnoxious and refused to acknowledge the fact that the wrong furniture were delivered to me. After waiting several days for a return call, I was told by Leo that he couldn't exchange my furniture because too much time had passed. I am still stuck with the wrong furniture because I have been unable to get a response from anyone at Customer Service. My bill is over one thousand dollars for something that I do not want but am being told that I will be reported to the credit bureau if I do not pay.

Stay away from their false promises and shop somewhere else, we will.

We have purchased all the children's bedroom sets here and our dining room table. They have a vast amount of furniture to choose from and they will go out of their way to help with the financing. We do not have the best credit but we got a very low interest rate. The prices here for new furniture are probably among the best in town and they do deliver.

The Room Store is a great place to buy furniture if you have the money. It can sometimes be quite pricey, but if you catch a good sale, it's definitely worth it. They have everything to furnish every room in your house! Delivery is usually the next day and they also setup which is great! The staff isn't too pushy (especially for a furniture store). Knowledgeable staff. Very helpful!
