I am not a sushi expert by any means, so I am not going to argue with those reviewers who claim that what Marinepolis serves is not real sushi. However, for amateur sushi-lovers on a budget like me, this restaurant is a great choice. The kaiten (conveyor belt) concept is fun and lets you try a bit of everything. If you don't see something on the conveyor, you can order it and the chefs will make it for you.

The selection of vegetarian sushi is not large, but there are at least 3-4 items to choose from, plus there are usually a couple more items that may not be on the conveyor but are listed on the menu and can be special-ordered.

The decor and the overall feel of the place is much more plain then Genki Sushi on the next block, but the quality of the food is comparable, the prices are about the same, and the staff is much more friendly and attentive.

A line often forms during dinnertime, particularly on weekends, so be prepared to wait along with several other people if you come during those times. There are a few chairs by the door for those who are waiting.

Pros: cheap, tasty, fun

Cons: can be crowded

This place is ALWAYS packed and there is a reason. Conveyer belt Sushi had become really trendy but most are more expensive. The fish here is fresh and the prices are outrageously low. They are also really good about making you something when you don??t see it rotating around.

We go out for sushi often, but this place continues to be our absolute favorite for those times when you're not looking for anything fancy, just great sushi. Their menu is just about the least expensive in town, but their fish is always totally fresh. The portions are not as generous as they are at some sushi bars, but when you're only paying $1.50 or $2.00 a plate it's a fantastic deal.
This is a popular spot, so if you go on the weekend expect a medium wait. Don't worry, it's worth it.

This is a must try sushi place. The conveyor belt dining experience is fun and the service is great. Sold by the plate, you can control portions well and there are many great varieties to choose from. Ingredients are fine quality and prices are very reasonable.

This is by far my favorite sushi place to go. I love that the portions are small enough so, if you're sharing, you can just try one of everything that looks good. I've never had bad sushi there and when I don't see something that I want to try, I'll ask the staff working in the middle to make me something special. A lot of them speak just spanish, so if you know the language, I think they appreciate it and will definately come up with some very yummy creations.

Pros: Food

Cons: Can get full and have a long waiting period in the evenings.

I do not consider myself as a picky eater, but I do not consider what they serve at sushi land as "sushi". The rice was hard, the raw fish was lukewarm, just to name a few. Try Blue C sushi for some decent cheap Japanese.

The sushi is not the best, but it is good! Very yummy! Busy though, a lot of waiting around if you dont call ahead of time. Affordable, the plates start at $1.00 so you can eat everything you want without having to try to choose a favorite. The conveyor belt is fun and you get fast service with it, food is fresh as well. If there is something on the menu you want that is not on the belt, just ask! They will be happy to bring it over. It's a little small, but it was so much fun, and very affordable, : ) thumbs up!
