San Francisco Bay club is one of the nicer clubs with amenities for the customers such as shuttle service. They also have a yoga class which I really like. The staff is there to pamper you and serve. Great club and great staff overall.

This gym is such a great place to work out. The staff there is very friendly and warm, especially Andrew George, the receptionist. He has a rapport with every member of the gym and makes me feel very welcome.

PROS: Great gym and great staff.
CONS: It's a very exclusive gym.

For the amount of money that a massage costs in this spa, you would think that it would not hurt as it did. The atmosphere is very nice, don?t get me wrong. The place is fully equipped with hot tubs, lockers, big screen TV, etc. After the slightly painful massage, the man tried to sell me some products. I graciously said no, but I don?t think I will be going back.

This is a nice health club whose greatest appeal is the squash courts. The pools are relatively spacious, the locker rooms are nice, the members are good people, and the location works for most. However, no parking, no bar (yes, I said no bar), limited numbers of treadmills and free weights, and a bit older in the member median age steers me to the Sports ClubLA."

SF Bay Club is a private health club located near the Embarcadero. Usually the weather down here is quite sunny. It makes it easier to workout when it is. The club offers different kinds of memberships and they are always willing to accommodate you. I've been here a few times with my friends but could never afford to become a member. Their facilities are quite nice and extremely well-kept. This is a first-class health club!

This is a very nice attitude free club. While it may not be as chi chi as Equinox or Sports Club LA, it's convenient and friendly. The parking lot is convenient and the day care is great. The work out room in the ladies' lock room is great. The spa is terrific and accessible. I actually work out four times a week because the Bay Club is so easy.

PROS: Convenient and attitude free
CONS:

San Francisco's original luxury health club is showing its age a bit. Perhaps spurred on by the opening of Sports Club/LA and other high-end facilities (Equinox), the Bay Club recently completed a locker room renovation. It is a large facility and for the squash players around town, this is probably their best bet. But for someone looking for an attitude-free luxury gym, I'd look elsewhere.

Great Club - Gotten way too crowded lately though. I don't know if they're discounting prices, 'coz I still pay the same rate, but much, much more people now than when I first started going here.

The Bay Club offers the customer service that every gym should strive for. The front desk staff actually says hello when you walk in - what a concept! Machines are always available - I've never had to wait in line.

In Short
One of the most expensive gyms in San Francisco, the Bay Club offers just about everything--more than 100 exercise classes per week, an aquatic center and spa services. Although this is a co-ed facility, the club does…
