Cafe Du Monde

Finding a table can be harder than finding a parking spot! Lol. I absolutely adore Cafe Du Monde and it is an essential spot that you must visit if you're new to New Orleans! The beignets are always hot and fresh...and even the kid with the biggest sweet tooth will agree that they give you enough powdered sugar with it.

The best part of experiencing Cafe Du Monde is when you "drop in" there always seems to be one person who was foolish enough to wear black or very dark colors. That person always looks so silly by the time they are finished eating. It is impossible to eat a beignet from Cafe Du Monde and not get powdered sugar on you! Lol, I think that's half the fun sometimes. The waiters may not always see you, but they are always so busy that you hardly ever see them stand still. They'll get to you...and it will be more than worth the wait.

How could one not love Cafe du Monde?

Having coffee there is like traveling to Europe. The beignets are amazing and the coffee is great.

It makes me want to book a trip there just thinking about it.

Cafe Du Monde is one place that is essential to experiencing New Orleans. The Beignets served here are always hot and delicious and can't be found many other places except New Orleans. There's always someone playing a sax or some other instrument outside and sometimes there's the man with his whole body painted silver. The location is perfect and it's great to get beignets and coffee and stroll around the french quarter.

We love Cafe Dumonde. You have to wait for your food, but its worth it. I usually get chocolate milk along with my girls, sometimes I get Cafe au'lait. Don't let the pigeons concern you. They like the food as much as we do.

Everyone knows about the Cafe du Monde and their beignets. The place is always full of tourists. But it's always full of locals as well, because everything you've heard about those beignets is true! They are heavenly!
You MUST stop in here on your visit to the quarter and to Jackson Square!

The beignets are AWESOME! They are served hot out of the fryer with LOTS of powdered sugar. I always get them with a chocolate milk because the coffee is to strong for me. There is always a wait to get in but it is well worth the time standing in line for a table to get this yummy treat!
