I've tried every pie on their menu and frequently get the daily special pie and I haven't had one that I didn't like! And the portion sizes are NOT small, the pies looks small but they are very filling, and you can get a side to go with like mac n cheese or mashed potatoes and those are big portions. Definitely a heart attack waiting to happen, but it's worth it!

Meat pies, mashed potatoes, a side of mac ??n?? cheese, and a pint of craft brew??probably not the healthiest fare, but some of the best. But, ??everything in moderation,? right? So, head to Pies & Pints where you choose among a generous selection of savory pies, extra toppings, and side dishes. It??s better than comfort food, it??s great comfort food; Pies & Pints uses the freshest ingredients possible, often buying local. The restaurant is kid-friendly, the bar??complete with pool table??is cozy, the atmosphere is casual and fun, and the location is perfect in this quintessential Seattle neighborhood.

Pros: hearty food, casual atmosphere

Great atmosphere, local pub feeling, great beer selection. They had three new beers rotating in each month. Beers for about $4 and good happy hour deals, also daily specials on drinks. Menu was a little slim for food, but the pies were really good. The only complaint I would have about this place is that the pies are really small for $6.50. They were probably only about 4 inches in diameter and 2 inches of that was the crust. I would go there again for late night happy hour and to hang out, but not for dinner, too small of portions.

I had heard about Pies and Pints from friends and went in on a rainy saturday night. What a treat. The crust on the pies is buttery and flakey. The pies seem smallish to the eye, but they really fill you up.

The atmosphere is very 'neighborhoody'. It was a great place to get comfort food.
The only complaint is that though from the outside it seems like a pub, it is a restaurant so you can expect to see families with kids. While we were there there was a family with a screaming child. I hope that is an exception rather than the norm.

Pros: Delicious pies and appetizers. Friendly waitstaff.

Cons: Not a pub, families with potentially noisy offspring

The menu isn't super extensive but within its niche, Pies & Pints is great. A good, refreshing variety of options that goes past typical pub fare: pick a pie, pretzel, one of the soups, the awesome fries, or some combo depending on how hungry you are. As a vegetarian, I usually get the spinach and feta or the mediterranean pie. The service in the restaurant and the bar at back has always been super nice and the atmosphere is lively but relaxed. A free pool table, music, and pretty good rotating art on the walls make this one of my favorite places to kick back. They have a solid tap selection and rotate one or two seasonal beers. Smoke free before the ban, too (which tells you a lot about it depending on the kind of bar you're after).

Pros: Pies, pints, pool

Pies & Pints is the one restaurant I consistently miss now that I've moved away from Seattle. I used to visit at least twice a month, sometimes more often, and everytime I'm trying to come up with a restaurant idea, Pies & Pints still comes to mind.

I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. If I'm in Seattle with someone who's never been there, I always take them--and while they're skeptical at first, they always come around when the food is served. The pies are fresh, filling, and the sides taste great.

The dessert is almost worth going for even if you've already eaten dinner. Each dessert is created fresh that day, and there are rotating desserts as well as the Guinness Chocolate Cake which seems to be there every day.

PROS: Good food, relaxed atmosphere, pool table
CONS: They have yet to open an Austin, TX location
