This is a kicka$$ place to hang out with a large or small group of people. There's tons of seating outside...and they routinely have live music out there. Great food on the menu, and great drink prices...and it's kind of tucked away so you don't have to fight alot of traffic like you do in other areas (I'm looking at you deep ellum and uptown).

This is a unique bar for Dallas. The other reviews are correct that the location is kinda shady but don't let that keep you away. The bar is kinda small but thats ok because you really want to be outside in the fenced in yard. They also have a little stage area for bands to play. This is just a very different kinda place with a wide variety of patrons. Give it a try, I think you will like it.

Best Bar in Dallas!

Lee Harvey's is the best bar in Dallas because of it's ownership and clientele! The owner knows how to put together a bar that makes all feel welcome and none as though they don't belong. Great drinks, surprisingly simple but "bar food" and great music add up to one fantastic hidden gem. The crowd is a virtual hodgepodge of everyone. Creative types, Artsy types, Preps, Rockers, Intellectuals, Locals and everybody in between go to this bar. No, the location may not be the best....but that's part of it's charm. Actually, the locals are some of the loyal who frequent the place and give it a lot of it's color and flavor. It reminds me of the kind of "local" bars that cities like Chicago and Detroit are known for. Just a cool cool place to hang with friends without all the attitude!

Lee Harvey's isn't convenient unless you live in a not so great neighborhood or one of those "we're renovating the neighborhoos condos" Either way, it's still worth the drive. A small shack (someone's gramma's old house I think) with a large fenced in yard (great for DogDay Sundays) with tons of fire pits (great for cold anydays) can't be beat. It's worth the trip.
