After reading reviews of this restaurant this was NOT one of my choices for my husband and I to try out while touring the WA coast in early April..
We were camping at Cape Disapointment State Park and looking for a good meal and couple of cocktails. Typical of the area it was pouring down rain and chilly so when we passed the Crab Pot we decided what the hooey and whipped around into the parking lot around 8:45 pm. Immediately upon entering we inquired about their hours and were told that they closed at 10pm so we thought things were great. We asked to sit in the bar area which was great because we were cold and wet and there was a gas fireplace in the corner beckoning us near. The waitress/bartender fetched our cocktails and as we asked for menus she had a "deer in the headlights" look on her face. We asked if our late arrival was a problem and she glanced at the clock and replied "no, you have plenty of time" as she rushed into the kitchen. We nestled in and started looking at our menus and not 30 seconds after her reply she rushed back in and announced that if we wanted food we had to order NOW!!! We asked if we could have a couple of minutes to see what they had and she said "no, the kitchen is closing..you have to give me your order NOW!" My husband ordered some oysters on the half shell and I the oyster stew. We had really wanted dinner but had no time to get past the appetizer section.
The only reason I am giving this satisfactory review of a completely hurried experience is that the stew was the absolutely the BEST I had ever tasted and I am a BIG critic of oyster stew!!! The oysters my husband ate were average but that stew was PHENOMENAL!!!!!
I would have loved to had arrived earlier to try out an entree but c'est la vie.

has good food and reasonable prices. The wait was long for us during a summer visit. We had a small child with us so that was difficult. Once we got sat down and ordered, the services was speedy and the staff very helpful. I would go back but maybe without my little one or not during peak hours.

When we drive past this restaurant, we are lured in by their fresh crab sign and the big boiling pot in the front of it. However, I have never had anything spectacular to speak of. Like the title says, it is just OK.
