Corvette Diner

The Corvette diner brings you back into the fifty's with its extensive memorabilia, a soda fountain counter, a corvette table, and waitresses with bee hive hairdoos dancing and throwing straws and gum at your table. Even though they no longer use the warm bacon dressing on my wife's favorite salad, their food is good, their portions are huge, their staff is friendly and funny, and they often have someone making baloon animals for the kids. Every now and then the staff stops serving to do a dance. Although the service is very slow, this place is worth the trip. It is owned by the local Cohn family who own about 6 other places that are all good quality.

Great food, fun place to hang out and a great place for a party. I've been going here for a long time and will continue to go back because it really is a cool place to eat.

My family and i have come to Corvettes for parties since i was a kid! *20's now*

They have a real corvette inside the diner, and theres a man that sits in a radio station like box that you can walk up and request songs!

If you go there have a "green river" drink!

World class?? Not really sure if it is "World Class" but it is a great place to have fun while you are having dinner. They have great food, kind of the basics you would fined in a 'diner'. I think they would laugh if you expected steak and lobster. Don't expect a cozy intimate place, it is loud and the waiters are intentionally rude, that is all part of the fun. It is a great place to have a birthday party, or any other happy event. The entertainment from the wait-staff is worth as much as the food. Back to the '60's for sure, kids of all ages love the place. At least I do, and I'm from the 'older set'. It is also a great place to bring friends from out of town, there probably aren't many places like the Corvette Diner around. I would call it a San Diego Landmark for sure. Nothing bad to say. Reasonable pricing for good food. Have fun!! That is what it is all about.

The food is great, the servers are awesome. I was surprised when the waitress took our orders while sitting next to me and threw stuff at us. It's a fun restaurant for the family. Try their shakes and desserts.

A fun 50s themed diner with great food and a live DJ spinning the oldies. The waitresses are sassy and throw Bazooka gum at you. Colorful decor with corvettes, Elvis, Marilyn Monroe etc decking the walls. A great place to have a party especially for kids.
